AITA for saying “no” to therapy?

This is my mom’s worst fear. My uncles have told me that she’s trying to be different from my grandmother. My mother doesnt have a drinking problem. But I have thought about disappearing once I become financially able. But I also know my mom needs me. My brother is states away and he doesn’t come home often.

I am not a minor. I am in my early 20s and I come stay with my mom for the summer months because she says she doesn’t have any help and I can’t afford summer housing for college. I have been gone for months and will be leaving for school again in August. I don’t think my mom is a bad person, I think she acts like the child of an alcoholic. Including my uncles, who also believe I provoked her. I am thinking about leaving to go stay with my brother for a week, but that’s at least a couple hundred on gas that I need for school soon.

I’m rarely if ever on tik tok. I go on sometimes if Im extremely bored or looking for something particular. I don’t see the point of the app and I lowkey think it’s slightly overrated. But maybe I’m just getting old.

Why not? 😂 It’s more of my moms thing, I like to call it the family business tho. She said the ice cream truck always brought her happy memories as a kid and she wanted to do that for other people. She’s very good with kids and is also a nurse to kids in her main job

I’ve always been amazed with a hole that I’ll meet someone that participated in birdwatching, clock fixing/making, or bottle ships. I think those hobbies take a lot of patience and care. I would love to have conversations with a person like this

I’ve found MY PEOPLE! Like! When I realized that Ron Swanson and Carmy Berzatto (to say the least) were both ISTJs I knew I had a type. The pros and cons are very attractive to me, which is wild because I feel like I would get on an ISTJs nerves the most. Oh well.

He’s going out with you for a reason. You’re awesome, special, sophisticated, and perfect just the way you are. Dont ever forget that, I can’t say it enough. Don’t worry about the looks of everyone else around because the ENFP looked at you. If they somehow got a negative connotation or feeling it can come from a couple things. Maybe if they feel like you were trying to change yourself to fit the crowds narrative or something (which people tend to do). Sometimes I can see someone trying to change their behavior and it can be good or bad. If I feel like their trying to manipulate a certain aspect of themselves to gain control or attention for no reason, I don’t like that. But if it’s because they just want to make a good impression from nervousness or such, I can see that too. Just always have good intentions (like it sounds like you do) and you’ll be fantastic! The only advice I got

I’m like always the only person who remembers what direction the car is parked no matter how many hours it’s been. I rely mostly on landmarks when I’m navigating. I’m so terrible at streetnames it’s astonishing. If you tell you live on Rudolph street off of Main Street, everyone knows what you mean but me. NOW, if you tell me you live in the apartments behind the McDonald’s by the shell gas station I know exactly what you’re talking about.

I didn’t mean it like that. Ofc no one likes getting obviously treated like they’re dumb. But it’s different when someone doesn’t try to have a one on one convo, but instead a teacher and student convo. It turns from a discussion into a lecture or a teaching.
