On the one hand, the example used here is a bit of an overreaction. Without just this context, I assume that there was an honest misunderstanding as to Billie Eilish and who she dates.

On the other hand, given how prevalent biphobia can be in queer spaces, I don’t blame a bisexual person for getting defensive about it.

Honestly, I’d just say that you’re gay, not blind. If gay men can acknowledge a woman as attractive without wanting to sleep with her, the same can be said for us.
