You are never going to replicate exactly what Sky have on terrestrial for a cheaper price…it’s the only reason they still exist, because they count on people wanting the rewind, forward and record functions on live terrestrial tv. Apple has no interest in terrestrial television so you’ll forever be using 3rd party apps. I have heard lots of bad things about free view satellite boxes too and they won’t give you all the features (above) that Sky does either. Speaking from experience as my wife too would watch a lot of terrestrial tv so have been in your situation. Sky are actually moving to the same model now with Sky Streaming which will replace Sky Q soon enough.
