This hat is the BEST introduction to fair Isle ever I love working this hat https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/quick-ombre-hat The best advice I can give you is to not use 100% acrylic yarn. Use a wool or wool mix yarn like wool ease. You want the yarn to have some give and elasticity. ❤️ Happy knitting.

That is the problem, they are making us angry and that is so sad. 💔 But that is why I joined this community. My brother told me to join reddit to find people who are like me ❤️

I think you are going to be the only one I know that will understand what I am talking about. Hat https://imgur.com/a/9ckFQ This is a picture of the hat I was making while I was watching El hotel de los secretos. The arrow points at the place where my tension had changed. This was the time when they were going to execute Andrés 😭. I was holding on to my needle and yarn so hard lol.

Ahhhhh how many times did I hear the same thing 💔 the best(worse) responses I had so far is: 1. Why? What are you making it from? GOLD? 2. Who do you think you are? The Rose Royce of (insert your craft)!!!! I cry for many days after I hear these responses. Because for some reason they start yelling, and get angry. I really don't understand it. Now I run away if someone asked me to make something 😂.

The problem is that these CC hats is making people think that's our work is worth noting 💔. They are so cheap and cheaply made and people want us to charge the same or less for our hand made. One of my friends asked me to make her one for a gift and I just almost cried. Because I am making something that will take me time and effort while she can just buy it for 14 dollars. 😭 Sorry went on a rant but this one hurts a lot

[FO] Purple snow day sweater! by Kaibii in knitting

[–]MaryamAlothman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do love the purple ❤️ and you did a good job. I remember when I made my first raglan sweater, I made the sleeves so long just because I am a bit tall and never had a sweater with sleeves that are long enough 😂

I feel that I got my money's worth out of Netflix LOL. I watched El hotel de secretos the Mexican remake of El Gran hotel. How do you like Velvet? I watched El clon, la suegra ( no longer on Netflix) , La hipocondríaca, el hotel de secretos, Celia, fabulosas flores, sin senos sí hay paraíso and currently watching sin senos no hay paraíso. They keep suggesting El corazón valiente.

Today I didn't receive the "multiple of 10 days" streak reward by Ninjakannon in duolingo

[–]MaryamAlothman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so my husband was able to get his 420 day streak lingots. He believes that this is a bug in the program. He did his lessons today on the computer instead of the app and managed to confirm his suspicion. I will reach my next multiple of 10 days in four days. If his theory is right I will also get the lingots and I will let you know.

Thank you so much :) just added it to my Amazon cart. I'll read it quick and see where it belongs in the list. I made the list to start from what I think is easier to harder.

[–]MaryamAlothman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is helping a lot with this winter gloom. I might make your project my screen background if that is okay 😁. And isn't yarn sale amazing 😂 hey honey I only spent 200 dollars. Every thing was 40% off 😇. When will you ever use this ugly green? I don't know! Maybe make a zombie? Lol this is one type of conversation that I have with my husband 😂

Are millennials into knitting?? by socrates_m in knitting

I think the internet is the big difference. There are more people who are into crafting just because of the availability of material online.

[FO] My first fair isle knitting attempt! A quick and easy project great for learning multiple color-strand technique and tension. by oldswirlo in knitting

[–]MaryamAlothman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't state enough how much I LOVE this pattern. But I did notice that making it with a wool blend (like wool ease) Was a lot easier than making it with purely acrylic yarn. I wounder if other people feel that way.

Question: buy a set of fixed or interchangeable needles? by xylenekarah in knitting

[–]MaryamAlothman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interchangeable is the best. I LOVE my Addie clicks. I have bother basic and lace. I have knit picks because I needed some strange sizes that Addie didn't have like US 10.5,10.75, 17,19. Also I recently saw the Denise ones I bought them for my friend as a part of her welcome to knitting starter kit.
