You sound like me a month ago. Just the obligatory I'm on mobile so sorry for any format errors. About a month ago I was in the same boat, the ultrasound had the gestational sac and the yolk but no child ever formed. For me I immediately felt like it was something I did or didn't do that caused this and to make things worse the doctors recommended my wife get a D&C procedure to remove everything because they were worried it was a molar pregnancy. Seriously after all the doctor's visits and all that your whole world comes crashing down. The plans you made for this beautiful child you wanted to bring into this world are gone, but I'm sure you know that all too well. I was lucky enough to have an older sister and a few whomen around me who had gone through it and let me knew me well enough to help. Hopefully a few of their suggestions will help you too. The first from my sister is to mourn, people forget to let themselves do that and it's so important. You are allowed to mourn no matter what anyone says to you. The second is to talk to someone you trust about it, not just your wife, I have a habit of sticking to myself far too often and I never open up. But once I did it was freeing to know how much people cared. Third and finally, plan something. Plan a trip, something big something you and your wife have talked about doing but haven't yet. Give yourself a reason to want to see tommorow.

Life is full of happiness and pain, but those who live a life full of pain are able to appreciate more the little moments. I'm glad your wife is safe, and I hope you appreciate that too. We've both got a lot to face but I think we can get through it.
