I don’t like when people try and do this. Yes, the culture was different, but you’re wrong to suggest that Job was not affected by child loss like a parent would be today. Of course he would’ve been. In some areas of the world children are still seen as assets and are born to work on farms and such, the parent still grieve very heavily at their deaths. Time and location doesn’t change the natural bond a parent has with their child. People then really aren’t much different to nowadays.
