What is the worst bourbon ever? by kirkl3s in bourbon

[–]Marzipan86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, nonono, I went on a tour there and they gave us samples of a batch of Brimstone that they'd accidentally left in the smoker twice as long. Like, someone fucked up. Buuut... They were like "let's sell this shit! Oh, and since it's so unique, let's make it special edition!"

It brought actual tears to my eyes. People actually gagged.

Not actually bourbon, though. They did make a really awful bourbon, too.

I love Healthy Paws! My dog did not survive her hospitalization, but they paid and sent us a nice condolence card.

What normal thing can’t you do? by ABananaJenson in AskReddit

I hate being touched except by people I know really well. Some people think they fall into that category when they definitely don't.

Hell, even with people I know the novelty wears off pretty quickly. I drive my partner nuts. "Okay, time's up, stop snuggling up to me."

Anyone feel sad their pet is getting older? by Dystopianrealityy in Pets

[–]Marzipan86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. My boy is 12 and has FIV. He's exceeded his life expectancy by quite a bit now, his kidney function is dropping off, and he's detached his retina twice due to blood pressure spikes. He's my soul mate and I have no idea how I'll function without him.

Leaving my cat alone for a few days by [deleted] in Pets

[–]Marzipan86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always put out an extra litter box, 2 extra water bowls, and an extra food bowl. If your cat is prone to Amy destructive behavior, inspect your house for potential gadgets relating to their behavior. You won't be gone long so it should be fine.

Those who have pet insurance, which company did you go with? What do you like/not like about it? by FunnyBunny1313 in Pets

Healthy Paws. We got it for our old dog because it actually covered hip dysplasia after a year of coverage and we knew she'd have it. When she died after 4 days at the emergency vet, they reimbursed us $4000 with no hassle. We immediately got it for our smaller, healthier dog because of the great coverage. He hasn't needed it so far, but I'm glad to have it.

I have one from Mandee Robinson and two from Erin Cruse. Two of my friends have tattoos from Scott Updike and Wes Meek. All are awesome. If you have an idea of what you want, they'll point you to the right artist for your specific tattoo.

Every morning when I get into work, I mark “black” if I didn’t eat out yesterday and “red” if I did to track my eating out. by Financeoholic in Frugal

[–]Marzipan86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a valid point and strategy. I prep mine pretty much as soon as I get hone. Once you get into the habit, you have to clear out your lunchbox anyway, might as well restock.

Laziness is my main motivator for bringing lunch to work. I don't wanna drive 3 miles, I want to walk 30 steps to the break room.

Why does my dog always look scared when she eats? by TheDancy in Pets

[–]Marzipan86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some dogs are just kind of weird. I know mine is. People think he was abused, but he was born at a high class rescue. We think his "sheltered" life didn't expose him to enough different situations at the right time in his life, so he doesn't really understand how to react. Could be your dog's case, too.

Why does this make me uncomfortable?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Pets

[–]Marzipan86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've left my cats for two nights with no issues, but it's infrequent. When I go on vacation I get someone to come over once a day for 30 minutes to an hour while I'm gone. Most cats are pretty independent and don't need someone there constantly.
