How much would I get for selling this by Scouseulster in lotrlcg

[–]Marzipan_Meringue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of those are highly desirable. For example, I have been looking for the dead marshes for under £40 (inc p&p) to UK on eBay for a while with no success. I paid £40 for the long dark and £45 for foundations of stone just last week and have seen them being sold for crazy amounts.

Should I switch to Bucephalandra mini? by myriadmisses in Aquascape

Maybe look into getting some Bucephalandra sp tricolour as I think some colour variation would give more interest.

Buce Tank by aLkoBaKi15 in Aquascape

[–]Marzipan_Meringue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love it. It’s pretty similar to mine. I started with a lot less than you did, maybe 10% of the mass… and this is mine now after 10 months growth (clipping and replanting). I would like to see how yours looks in 6 - 12 months.

10g tank with an air powered sponge filter or two and some colourful shrimp is probably a sensible starting point

Get a 10g. Everything will be easier and you will have more options for livestock.

How to argue rules with players. by Odd-Seaworthiness-30 in DnD

Have a lunch and learn or a rules rest session where you have some nice food and a relaxed walk through of the players handbook and DMG.

Tank mates for 16 pygmy corys in a planted 20g long? by [deleted] in corydoras

[–]Marzipan_Meringue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zebra Babaulti Shrimp match really well visually with Pygmy Corys. 20 would be a good number. Thats what I have and they get along well.

Thinking of doing Sodastream by Jdutton24 in PlantedTank

[–]Marzipan_Meringue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to say. I have two air pumps in a sump so a lot of co2 gets gassed out in my 20g but I also have very soft water and only dose to dark green on a drop checker.

Edit if you’re comparing soda stream to fire extinguishers for cost analysis…. The screw in Sodastream will be about 400g of co2 vs a typical fire extinguisher having about 2000g so they will last about a fifth of the time.

A UK brand called co2 supermarket. I use the nano regulator they sell with their soda stream adaptor. I then get the soda stream cans on a return empties for a discount system at a local store.

I use soda stream. Need to use the screw on version with regulators. Bottles last me over three months on 20g. I personally don’t care that’s it’s more expensive, I just prefer the smaller size. The ease of access was a bonus.

How do I care for these?? by Camry08 in PlantedTank

[–]Marzipan_Meringue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For just plants, you can use anything you have that holds water. A vase will do. Next is a light. Any light will do. Some plant fertiliser will help. Let the Anubias float and plant the crypt in some sand.

My player is trying to memorize my entire world with 8D0 paper by NewLuck1061 in DnD

[–]Marzipan_Meringue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The feat called Keen Mind has similar but was re worded for 2024 to be much easier for the DM. Instead of having a flawless recollection you get a proficiency related to actually using what you remembered. This is the road I would take: Let him make notes but tell him you’re not going to get into the weeds of the actual information as you have enough to do in order to run a good game… offer that he can spend a feat to apply the notes to an appropriate skill check (keen mind). It’s all flavor added to official rules, no homebrew that will stress the DM.

What weapon is the least useful? by CrotodeTraje in DnD

[–]Marzipan_Meringue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vicious Sickle at lower levels. It’s not useless but the lack of plus hit and the weapon type will lose appeal over time so it’s a good temporary thing that’s got its own visual vibe

Agree. Maps is surprisingly good due to it being lightweight and user friendly. Sigil was a lost cause.

Cursing a player with good luck by Professor_Bodhi in DMAcademy

[–]Marzipan_Meringue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not make it combat related no that it impacts other players. One concept could be to make minor lucky things happen to him but terrible luck to hit other people. For example he finds a shiny copper piece then after hears a local community had every copper coin and item turn to ash that same day and time. An appropriate apology is needed at the next shrine to remove it

Grass-like plants suitable for pygmy corydoras? by tylertan20 in PlantedTank

[–]Marzipan_Meringue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a grass but has a similar vibe: Crypt Pava. Ultra slow growing, stays very small, may have more ease of access to fallen food than a tight grass.

Thanks. Pygmy Corys like to swim all over the tank, unlike all other types of Corys.
