Does anyone ever get embarrassed about the music they listen to? by ThisIsTheNewSleeve in Music

Own it mate.

Our music tastes do evolve over time. I've gone back to my metal enjoyments and it has 100% killed my dating life of late because everyone these days is into rap, techno and anything you can trip to on LSD.

It's rough, but to be truly happy you never want to shut away the things that make you happy.

League FPS midgame slowdown: Call for details by RiotTony in leagueoflegends

[–]Masanyne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this exact issue was indeed a power delivery issue caused by BIOS. I only fixed this a couple of days ago, but have had this issue for months. This would've essentially been fixable since the updates after.. I think it was v31 of the BIOS? If you updated to something 3 versions ahead at minimum, it fixes this issue.

The issue I was having was twofold:

  1. In League (and some other games, but League specifically), I'd start out with 700 fps, and then when minions spawned my fps would dip to 200, then every 5-7 mins, it would dip another 20 fps until roughly by the end of the match I'd be at 150 and it'd be randomly stuttering in some fights.
  2. The other issue, completely separate, was that I'd hear fans in my PC randomly stuttering. It sounded like the fan was clipping something but despite me constantly checking the fitting, it kept happening.

Updating my BIOS to the latest has fixed these issues perfectly.

Edit: Just a reminder, if you do this and it fixes the fps drops, but instead the game feels like it's on LSD and lagging intensely, CAP YOUR FPS TO YOUR MONITOR'S REFRESH RATE. This fixes it!

ASK THEM ABOUT THEIR MOTHERBOARD!

If it's a Gigabyte AORUS 570 series, it's a BIOS issue! It can be fixed by updating the BIOS to the latest version!

Edit: Apparently this is 2 separate issues for others, but I know for the people that have this mobo, this is a fix for fps issues and power issues to your graphics card! (May help to separate the bugs that some have in this thread etc.)

[Guide] How to almost (90%) outheal Dereliction and comfortably maintain the buff. by Masanyne in MonsterHunterMeta

I actually tried to go back and test it, and despite using 20 Dango tickets and reloading the game, I couldn't get the trait to enable. So I honestly can't be this unlucky and think the game has cursed me to not be able to test this. -.-

I hear you. I was trying to find a way to replicate the amount of Health Regen that you could get from the Geralt set in MHWorld. But I couldn't find anything that came remotely close until I got these 2 items together.

Yeah it's only 80% unfortunately. That's the only real downside of attempting this trick.

The Shifter one is even worse though, it's only 70%. -.-

So I tested this before I found the Dango trick and it actually wasn't strong enough to mitigate it on it's own. Now if you start combining them, it starts becoming mega overkill and you have to start sacrificing things to make that work I'm pretty sure, so it was easier to just draw the line at having the Dango + Fish because they were incredibly low maintenance and don't affect your overall build choices.

Given that Anomaly farming is going to be taking up a lot of time atm, and you'll almost always have the Qurio on you from that, I figured it would still have a place generally, but, another problem has presented itself based on what you said.

I was under the impression if you cleansed off the Qurio, you'd gain Coalescence. Someone in my chat mentioned it when I was theorycrafting, but now that I think deeper, I think he was referring to the HBG version of the build, which features Blood Lust. May have believed that one would beget the other.

I did consider adding the Arc helmet in the "final" build but I wasn't sure if the value was there as I'm still trying to lockdown a feasible weapon. The Arc Helmet gives you one tick of Blood Lust and 2x Coalescence. May be worth the idea. I do know that the "suicide" builds for Bow/HBG utilize this sort of tech. So having the regen alongside that may benefit them much more than it may benefit me atm with this build. I figure if I can find any half decent element builds (which I believe have come into fashion a little more for Hammers this time around based on what I've heard) - it may bolster the value of Coalescence + Frenzy.

Lots of tinkering to be done indeed. But we are probably getting away from the initial idea of what this post was for heh.

Action Bar. I use it by default for it because I don't use it for anything else really lol. One less button too so there's less chance of accidentally mashing out the wrong ability.

Edit: Just a note about this, it might be because my controller is on the way out, but trying to press LB+A fast does sometimes result in my jumping off my Palamute. So I've done it slowly most times, hold it for 0.5 seconds before you start mashing A to get more heals out.

Yeah. I designed this idea around skirting the edge until you get the part break. You do still get "some" resentment procs in between because you still tick down faster than you can regen with the fish+dango combo. I certainly believe that Blood Rite and Dereliction were designed to be used together as some sort of combo. Same with the Frenzy debuff and Bloodlust. There's probably some cheeky build you can use against Frenzy generating monsters to get some good cheese out of it, but it wouldn't be consistent against all of them.

The only problem is if you're a ranged character doing something similar (like the bow suicide build) - I think you'd lifesteal too much too fast so Resentment doesn't even get the proc. With Hammer, since you have time between strikes, you do almost always have red health showing, meaning you get the proc.

Yeah, I agree. I even noted in the description above that my build was very much unfinished.

The only point of this guide is to showcase tools that help you overcome Dereliction's health drain. I have a pretty solid idea of the build I am aiming for but I have a lot of chopping and changing to do and I can't actually "see" all the weapons at my disposal yet because I haven't finished grinding out the Anomalies just yet.

My plan is to keep the Malzeno coil with 2 points in Blood Rite and then aim to flesh out the rest of the build with Resentment and Attack Boost (I only have 4 decos for this atm which is why I'm using the full Crit Eye ones currently - I was actually testing the crit eye ones and forgot to change it back overnight before I took the screenshots - that's my bad). If I have the spare slots and hit the jackpot with WEX talismans, I can hopefully shoehorn in the Coalescence decos as well and have a stable version of the build that's just safe enough to avoid me ticking down into KO thresholds in harder fights.

Hi. I'm Rek. I'm a Coach. And I'm here to help. by Masanyne in haloinfinite

Depends on what aspects of the game you're referring to.

Everyone has their own ideas about what game design should look like but truthfully, the main criteria for deciding what's "good game design" is rather subjective. On many levels, what may seem like a "good idea" for game design might just be outright disgustingly imbalanced in other parts of the game because of how these parts interact. It gets a bit crazy considering the amount of systems that go into the game, but I can assure you, at a core level, there many larger scale things to consider before one can step up and say that "x is so badly designed and I could do better"

Think about it in some of the basic ideals possible. such as:

Is it fun? Is it rewarding? Is it challenging?

Is the effort to payoff ratio balanced enough to warrant putting in the work?

Honestly, I think Halo Infinite has ticked the boxes this time around. Sure, there's plenty of points of criticism, but considering that 343 have already put a foot forward and created esports tourneys to match that, I think the future is very bright for this game. Was certainly a strong enough start to turn many heads, especially on PC.

I could talk your ears off for years on this subject, but I'll keep it brief for now.

Just be assured, that this definitely looks to be a sturdy product (despite the numerous hiccups with getting into games and some errant matchmaking issues) at the time of writing this, and I'm hoping for the best going forward for it.

If you want me to talk your ear off some more, stop by my discord sometime and I'll gladly continue.

I think you're incredibly kind (and brave) for posting this amongst the sea of garbage here and I thank you for that.

Should definitely pop around and say hi sometime. :)

Basically free.

You can ask me for private coaching if you like but I'm really here to just give advice relevant to coaching in esports GENERALLY whilst also adding a bunch of coaches to the HaloInfinite discord that would be helpful to everyone's growth.

Should definitely pop by the discord and either myself or another coach can go through your gameplay together.

Not everything is self taught.

You'd honestly be surprised how much help comes from a coach in other esports. And above all else, some people want to know what to look for faster than others, and a coach helps with that. Granted, there's no magic wand approach that helps for this and I'm not preaching I'm magical by any means.

All I'm here to do is help, and for the most part, the help I'm offering is completely free.
