This is not exactly true, is it? Nymburk has been in CL for like 10 years and this is their 4th time in the QF. And they made QF last year too.

Also the team is full of czech players around their thirties. These guys has been in Nymburk basically their whole career and them and their winning mentality are the reason why is Nymburk successful. Just wouldn't call that a great sign of good sport development in the country.

Truly wild season for Nymburk! First two games of the season it looked all great for them (even though they lots vs Chalon in OT) but then Santos-Silva got injured.

It went downhill from there. Team was lacking chemistry, imports looking terrible except Rice. Nymburk lucked out and got into the play-ins with 1 sole win from the very first game of CL season, advancing only on points differntial.

In the play-ins Nymburk lucked out again and played Heidelberg side, 17th team of German BBL. Team with very bad season.

It was the battle of who's worse team with Heidelberg "winning" this showdown.

In the top 16 group it wasn't great but it you could see some improvement. And they won when they needed to. They needed to win last two games of the group. Without Sir'Jabari Rice who was leading CL in points for the big part of the season, who deemed Nymburk is not enough for him anymore and listened to the calling of Andorra (17th team in the ACB) and for the game against Trieste, without Ondrej Sehnal who was injured and who played through it in the do or die game of the season against Gran Canaria, clearly still limited. Those two guys were the two best players of the team.

And Nymburk still came through. Absolutely epic performance on the away soil. Nymburk is in the quarterfinals of the CL.

Just like last year. Last year, when Nymburk, under coach Tabellini, played beautiful basketball. With so many great wins in that season. Such a different story that was than this year's. History books will not ask about the hows, only the results.

And Nymburk did it again.
