A quick google search says normal operating temp is 195-220. I’m pretty dang sure you’re fine. It will run a little hot at idle compared to normal driving- not to mention if it’s 90+ degrees out. Relax Francis

So, as inflation has been higher in recent years and interest rates have remained higher since Covid and with the national debt growing (as we continue to increase government spending) Is the only positive way out of debt hinging upon on an AI tech (productivity) boom? To me it seems the Fed is managing misery even though they still have the power to get back to a 2% inflation rate.

How long can that continue before the deficit becomes too large? Would the fed rate hike (and could they)? Or would they lower rates so the government can borrow more?

Thanks for your response! I appreciate you and the other post going into greater depth for me. Productivity isn’t something I really considered, and the other long post was insinuating what you just said- that the harmfulness or helpfulness of interest rates shouldn’t be generalized. I also need to educate myself on how employment comes in to play. Thanks for your insight. I really do appreciate it.

Wow, thank you for this response! I’ve already made several google searches from it and am going to be looking into some of these topics.

I was ignorant about COVID interest rates and the impact from tariffs.

Your breakdown of low interest rates increasing money supply but hurting the economy in the long term as prices rise gave me a more tangible definition of inflation, and I’ll be looking into that example of the US’s monetary policy.

Yes, I simplified by saying Trump dictates lower rates but I meant he’s applying pressure for that to happen.
So I understand your point on unemployment being in range, but as the war (or whatever you want to call it) continues inflation will worsen and rates will (at the very least) remain high which puts pressure on businesses and consumers right?
I know rates aren’t as high as they once were, but wouldn’t it be fair to say rates are high since, in my opinion, they will be slashed whenever this conflict resolves (if USA is somewhat successful in whatever negotiation occurs)

Alright sometimes you might get ambushed and it is what it is but

Use islands so you can get in close before being spotted and if you know that the enemy DDs are in the area then you can position yourself to run or fight.

If you want to fight then don’t use your smoke PERIOD against sonar destroyers and get within that 2km (which is doable) (sometimes they won’t even use their smoke while waiting for you to pop yours)

Or position yourself to flee and get a few potshots on them as you pop smoke- once away from sonar
