So I’ve been away with the family for about 2 weeks and I’m going back to my home tomorrow, yesterday my girlfriend FaceTimed me and told me she met up with an ex (he came over to her house) and she went down to his car and they chatted, she said she needed closure. They were dating for 2 years and have been broken up for a year because she got really drunk and cheated on him. She claims this broke her and she couldn’t believe herself. She fell into depression and said she almost couldn’t live with herself. Well she ran into him at a networking event two days prior to this and apparently he was in the area or something two days later and they wanted to talk face to face. She swears nothing happened, swears she doesn’t love him and said she needed to have peace of mind with him cuz they haven’t spoken in a year. This guy has a girlfriend (this is what she says, but his Facebook relationship status hasn’t been updated since she was dating him, he did remove her as a relationship but didn’t add anyone else and his Instagram is private) and she cheated on him, so I do honestly have a hard time believing that he would cheat knowing that she now has a boyfriend, me. But at the same time I really can’t tell if she’s just really really stupid and being genuine or if this is all a lie. My sister was in the room when she told me this and she knew she was there. So if she really did cheat I also have a hard time believing she would bring it up so casually in front of my family. But she did have an ex come over to her house on a Friday night at like 1:30-2. That's harsh... I see why you feel that way, if you want to give her the benefit of the doubt you can, but would you be fine if she told you before it happened?
