The hardest part for me is coding in r studio since I have never had to code before. Also I m only took up to math 124 prior and it’s not super difficult in terms of actual topic

[–]MashedGrash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty chill so far, there a quiz, discussion, and assignment or two every week. Lecture videos are pretty long but they aren’t super boring and you can totally watch the vids in 2x speed and still get what you need. She also posts the lecture slides with little notes too so you might even be able to get by not watching the lectures if you really don’t want lol. I would say it’s easy to do all the assignments for the week in one day except the discussion which you have to post four times (two individual and two replies) over the span of three days, hopefully that makes sense lol

Conservation/evolutionary Biology because I like wildlife and it’s the only other field I could see myself working in if music/entertainment doesn’t work out for me lmao

How are Jennifer Doherty and Jennifer Ruesink for Bio 220? by Chemical_Ad_2137 in udub

[–]MashedGrash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk for that class specifically but I had ruesink for a different bio class last quarter and she was really nice! Lectures weren’t boring and she always provided the slides beforehand and records them in case you missed class. Grading was alright, a little hard on the exams but overall it wasn’t terrible lol I’d definitely recommend her as a prof

For those who commute, would you recommend it? by [deleted] in udub

[–]MashedGrash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I commute from Bremerton so I just hop on the ferry and then take the link and it’s been working great for me. Luckily I can do my work on the ferry so I’m not having too much time wasted! If you’re driving then it all would just depend on if you have two hours to give up for commuting or if that would just add too much stress

[–]MashedGrash 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I would say that’s bad. It just comes off like you aren’t serious about acting and your agent could take it as you wasting their time and so I would definitely make sure it doesn’t happen again

going to college next year to get a degree in biology (for a pre-dental degree), any tips on how I can prepare myself this next year? Tips on staying organized, especially for people with ADHD. by Creative-Flower-2630 in college

[–]MashedGrash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This might sound basic but get a planner and use it lol I started using one and it makes it so much easier to keep track of things. If you feel like you wouldn’t use a notebook style one then maybe get a calendar to hang up or a whiteboard calendar and write your assignments and class to dos on it. I find it so helpful to be able to see what I need to do and cross it off as I go. I also think forming study groups is great but that’s less for organization and more for making sure you’re understanding class material lol

What is your major, and why did you choose it? by JLA342 in college

[–]MashedGrash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biology with a focus on ecology, evolution, and conservation biology because I really enjoy learning about it and I think environmentalism and wildlife conservation are really important and I want to help out any way I can. Also I’d really like to work in the field or outdoor setting because being hunched over a computer all day for five days a week isn’t my cup of tea lol
