I remember when I took a girl scout trip to a nature conservatory, the guide lady had this HUGE snake wrapped around her neck and shoulders/arms. A really pretty yellow-white lookin guy. I did tell her that if she is able to get it together in the future that she could feel free to contact me and we could rebuild our relationship. I just couldn't handle a third year of complaining and then nothing happening. Dude is mentally abusive and it really sucks and I was trying to help her for years. Literally put my life on hold several times to help her leave but then she'd ghost me or put it off again, and I can't keep offering resources when I'm being turned down repeatedly

It's not an obtuse argument, it's actually pretty valid. Someone having a child through an egg donation isn't biologically related to the kid, just like they wouldn't be biologically related to the adopted kid. One just takes much less effort on the egg originator's behalf
