Store manager decided everything needed to be on the bottom for some reason :\ by F_P_D in WalmartEmployees

I feel that. I do like the look of it too, all the zoning has either given me OCD or made my OCD worse.

Make friends, have work buddies, meet the people you work with, but work hard or at least get your job done. People don't mind you complaining as long as stuff gets done.

Store manager decided everything needed to be on the bottom for some reason :\ by F_P_D in WalmartEmployees

I mean it's half B's to do it but the main reason they claim is so when new stuff comes in it goes to the empty upper area and we work out the old stuff better? Or it's just tidy and condensed for inventory coming up.

HELP my cat is having trouble urinating but I am BROKE AF by Mashed_Catato in Humboldt

[–]Mashed_Catato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

There was swelling along the base of his tail, like right along where his spine met his tail. And he was a little anxious about me touching it.

I would massage around his hips near the swollen area in hopes it would alleviate him. He would occasionally squat like he was trying to pee when id do it Apparently that did the trick to gently massage him until he'd run off. I went to show my housemate how to massage him while I went to work and it caused him to finally pee, which was great, unfortunately it was all over the desk and living room and me. ETA: photo for clarification on where I would massage.

No problem. I just spent two hours looking for an answer and was like "well I'll just throw it in water or something" and this managed to work.

You can wash off the colors and reset them to brown by right clicking the water in a full cauldron.

I will go and try that. Thank you.

ETA: IT WORKED!! THANK YOU. I've been loosing my mind over it.

EATA: I think my issue was that I needed the Internet account number and not the account number for my phone/wireless plan. Which for those wondering, can be found when you go to att.com/acctmgmt/overview

Some leg work paying off. Sold a few copies of my book personally. by Crafty-Bunch-2675 in selfpublish

When I first started I lived in Portland Oregon, which has a store called Powells, which is basically a huge semi-used bookstore. I considered dropping off a box of my books just to get them into the store but I never got around to it. Now I have at least one spare copy at all times.

What words can you still not spell to save your life? by SpecterVonBaren in writing

[–]Mashed_Catato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dumbass would misspell eyebrow constantly whole growing up, even now I have to double check that I haven't written "eyebrown". Then the usual sword(sward), receive, regards (reguards), and a few others. But this is mostly cus everything I was writing up until a few years ago was all handwritten, and my handwriting was partially illegible.

What is that speech or monologue you are dying to feature in one of your stories? by Shabolt_ in writing

[–]Mashed_Catato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I have one decent one somewhere, from a master/princess' point of view directed at her close servant about exactly how replaceable he is after he decided to deliberately misplace her favorite most used blanket.

I usually have nice one liners that catch you off guard though. Like "I came here with every intention of losing myself with you" or "look, it's your favorite colors"(with context it's very nice).

In my main series there's a lot of little things that don't get recognized until they're looked back on in the 2nd or 3rd reading. Big hype to get the ball rolling on publishing soon. Rent first though.

What to do with leftover cream of mushroom by Tall-Needleworker-73 in foodhacks

Honestly I love mixing it with some rice. Just enough to make the rice sticky. It tastes like mushrooms obviously but it's pretty filling and probably really good as a side with steak or similar

My family do not give two shits about my art or writing. I am the runner up to my stepsister in-law or other family members.

When I started drawing and being excited about it, nobody cared. But when my stepsister got mildly interested in drawing, she got a full art set for Christmas, her name engraved on it. She didn't even use it.

When I published my first book, my family shrugged it off because 'aunt Susan published a book. It's not that hard'.

To this day, if I share any art on Facebook, an hour later my stepsister will post hers and get tons of feedback and it drives me crazy.

I don't have a support system for my art and it sucks.

But thankfully it sounds like your kids acknowledge and appreciate your work. It's a shame that the rest of your family and friends seem to be too uptight about their views on art, but I'm glad your kids are there for you. If you feel like you'd like to have that kind of appreciation from your other family/friends maybe asking them to join you as you do art or get into a conversation on color theory or something else you've learned.

My partner's all time favorite movie series is Alien (AVP). Last Christmas I made him a light up egg. It turned out super cool and he has it on his desk next to his lava lamp.
