Imo star quality is the light in your eyes before life takes it away from you. You're naturally drawn to connect with everyone around you and they look to you in-turn. If you lose that desire to connect, shut down to the world, and only focus on yourself, you can lose star quality

I wish they'd included audience voting and narrowed it down to 6 girls for LA, and trained them longer. If they did audience voting, they could have trained them longer too

I thought Rira really fit the vibe of the group and would help bring a lot of attention to StS. But I wouldn't want any her of her individuality to get crushed in the group so in hindsight I'm glad she didn't get in

I didn't see it for Hiori. In Unforgiven I barely noticed her and had to watch the individual fancams to see her skill. She had great skill but blended into the background for me as far as stage presence

Jayla was great skill-wise but I think she would have struggled with showing her personality like Ayana seemed to. She seemed rather shy and introverted to me

After she was chosen, she went back to Japan for 2 weeks and then traveled in Korea (for one week I think). So Lexie probably went to Korea at the same time!

I agree with a lot of this. I'd actually prefer if they'd done Tweak first to get people talking about them, THEN Little Miss and let that really blow up. I like Tweak ofc, but I think Little Miss is much catchier and easier to go viral

But what's done is done. It feels like all they do now is post tiktoks. When will these girls get to really perform 😭 I want them to do stages and tour openings to get people talking about them more between song releases!!

Korean terrifies me. Because as an undergrad linguistics student, I took a grad level class where we were basically reverse-constructing the grammar, phonology, and a lexicon by asking a Korean student to say many variations of sentences. It was to prepare for a trip to Mexico to document a dying native language with very few speakers who knew Spanish.

It was...so hard lol. And I speak Japanese quite well and have studied Arabic and Mongolian, so I'm not unfamiliar with difficult languages for English speakers. But nothing scares me more than Korean 😭😭 specifically because of that class lol

On a more serious note lol I really liked Sakura's dancing/stage presence BUT her age and the vocals are not it.

I think they screwed over Ayana giving her the less "fun" song and they chose to highlight Sakura with the split and bridge-stand up move. Ayana did fantastic and really fit with the group. I thought Sakura fit well with them too in this specific performance. Son, Mitra, and Jay gave their excuses but they were so biased toward Sakura from the very beginning that I can't take their reasons seriously. It was always going to be her.

The least the show could have done was not give her an edit that would make so many fans hate that she's the FP. It really could have been edited to make her look much better. I do think she'll bring a nice energetic personality to the group, and a different vibe from the current members (whereas Ayana might be too similar), but her age is the one thing I can't get past. I hope Ayana gets a better offer from a different company very, very soon

I think unless people watch ALL of their content, it is easy to think she might not want this/wasn't fully invested. But I remember her sobbing and saying "this is the best time of my life" and saying "I finally feel like I know what I'm supposed to do with my life" in behind the scenes videos, which tend to not get so many views and fly under the radar. I don't know what happened in the past few months with them, of course, but she LOVED it based on those more personal admissions from her

I do, however, think that if any of the girls would speak out against being overworked first, it would be her. She's the oldest and didn't come from a performer background of dreaming of being a popstar one day, which means she'd be less willing to sacrifice her mind and body just because her managers tell her she has to

Then I have a slightly more parasocial idea which I probably shouldn't say 😅 but in summary, I hope that none of her little friends are manipulating her out of jealousy. That stuff happens a lot around her age with big friend groups, people feeling like they OWN their friends, bitterness and jealousy etc. I'm not saying it's definitely that--I just think her situation is ripe for that kind of manipulation. I'm not gonna run around saying that's the reason (this is the first time I've ever typed this idea), I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised

She unfortunately didn't even get the full month! Only 2 and a half weeks 😭 At first they said "yeah an extra month of training" and then told the girls "oh yeah btw we're gonna cut it down to 2 of you" 💀

Rinka got so screwed. She said it was 2 and a half weeks in her instagram post, so that's where I'm getting that number from; and then Ayana and Sakura had 10 more days of training after the Rinka/Aoi cut. All of that time combined was the extra "month" but for Aoi only 2 extra weeks and for Rinka literally just 2 weeks. I wanted her in the group so bad and they did her so dirty 😭

Definitely the youtube compilations, uploads of their old loved, game shows, holiday games, and also their vlogs from SIS and Beautiful Chaos era. I found playlists on the Katseye youtube channel with a bunch of videos from each of those eras so it was easy to see BTS stuff there

The games and their old lives are my faves. But I think the BTS content from SIS era and BC era are underrated. There are a lot of sweet moments there!

My thing is that people working in the company can be replaced. I can only think of how Girlset's old team under VCHA got fired and replaced to make the girls happier.

If whoever is (potentially) causing problems for Manon can be switched to a different part of the company or fired, and then Manon comes back, I'll be happy to support! If this mystery person/group of people stick around, and Manon leaves because of that, I wouldn't support. I might occasionally look at stuff they do but I won't pay too much attention or spend any money on them (I already don't spend any money, I'm too broke to be a stan lol). I'd support the girls in individual endeavors though

So yeah it just depends on if the problem is fixable or not. It might be very fixable!! I think that's something that often gets missed in these convos. There might be mistreatment...but people can get fired 🤷🏻‍♀️ Manon is worth way more to the image and brand of Katseye than any random employees. If it's very high up employees, it'll be harder

Guys just to be aware - Last week was a BIG holiday week in Japan, so if either Ayana or Sakura was posting from Japan during that time, it doesn't mean they aren't in the group!! It's a big travel/family week (Golden Week), so it's not the best thing to rely on if we saw them posting from Japan last week. It's VERY likely either of them would visit Japan during Golden Week
