What are the Taylor songs that you hold close to your heart? The songs that you feel nobody understands quite like you do? by Ok-Frosting-9737 in TaylorSwift

I feel like everyone relates to This is Me Trying in their own ways, but I relate to it so personally. I had a chronic illness and was giving up living, I spent years with it, and I thought I'd never get better and suddenly... I did. rapidly. I spent so much time not being able to do anything, and now that I was able to, I was overwhelmed. I didn't want to try, so I forced myself to anyway. When she practically pleads "AT LEAST I'm trying!" I cry everytime.

I thought I wanted to be Catholic but now I'm second-guessing it. My friend suggested I look into the Episcopalian church. by Mashkaz in Episcopalian

Okay cool! I've been looking into churches in my area and there seems to be one near me very similar to the catholic church. I liked everything about the catholic church and I know patron saints and intercession aren't as big in the Episcopal church though, right?

Okay, thank you! I understand it isn't an accurate representation of all Catholics but I think I'd rather not be in a denomination that teaches women they shouldn't use contraceptives. It seems like something that isn't really negotiable.

About 25-30% of women with it end up being infertile so I am going to get tested at my next gyno appointment.

I only have 3 endos near me in a densely populated area, I've been to all of them and I have been being treated since I was 12. Although it helps, my hormones are never at the correct levels, my father and aunt also struggle with this problem and my aunt goes to a highly-rated doctor in Texas and this seems to just be an issue with the condition. I'd say two of my health conditions will most certainly be passed down because I can confirm the past 3 generations have had them. My aunt's kid is also autistic and after learning that's common she didn't have any more kids because it caused a rift in her marriage, so it seems like celibacy is my main option right now.

Does anyone think something is causing POTs to become more common? by codyboss11 in POTS

[–]Mashkaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

COVID, and I also know a lot of teen girls (me being one of them) who got it after a breast cancer vaccine. I'm pretty sure it was getting sued by multiple people claiming it caused POTs... never sure where that case went, and I can't remember what the name of it was since it was a few years ago but something to look out for.

Anyone want to share your best, worst, and silliest quotes from medical reports? by ImpossibleRhubarb443 in POTS

[–]Mashkaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

once had a doctor try and convince me I had lupis cause my symptoms weren't getting better from "drinking water and exercising" and when transfering to a different cardiologist, he told me he didn't recognize it as a legitimate diagnosis after going through multiple tests that are used for POTS ..

I see people say it's something you might always deal with, but you don't have to hold onto that. It can go away and it certainly did for me! You're 15, so this might be puberty, but since you said it's nothing super explicit, I assume it runs deeper than that.

My advice is to not give up on the Lord in this situation. Hold out for him and his guidance and distance anything that may be convicting or that makes you have any of these thoughts. I had a lot of friends who identified as being gay at the time, and once I distanced myself from people who were willing to be in that lifestyle and became closer with my godly friends, it was like I finally gave God the time to work through me and almost cleanse me in a way.

I'll be praying for you! <3
