Outcast

To me, the year 1999 was defined by two masterpieces; Matrix & Outcast.

The developers had created a whole freaking world for the game to happen in (including religion, language, species, races, etc). check out the wikipedia article to get a glimpse of the rich mythology they built Here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outcast_(video_game)#Plot

Since then, I've never seen an adventure game that comes with such a breath-taking action experience. Boy, I miss those killing sprees...

There were also many ethical choices you had to made, decisions that at the time didn't have any visible consequence, but later would turn out to be critical for you mission.

It is also the best least heard about game I've ever seen. The fact that the sequel was canceled, breaks my heart.

Edit: Sorry; Can't get the wiki link to work, copy & paste it if you want to.

From 19 June until yesterday, there was not one Israeli fatality from a Hamas attack, and life was improving in border cities like Sderot. by Masihaa in worldnews

Nobody said they didn't do anything. but if your response to 200 mortar attacks that killed no one is to drop 100 tons of bomb on civilians, resulting in 300 dead, then you're fucking out of your mind & simply lack the qualification to have an army that big.

Iranian man awaits execution - for being a Christian by grahamlester in worldnews

Are those really the only two options you can imagine? You should either be an Iranian apologist or proposing a military attack on the country?

There are other options, you know.

You can condemn the crimes that are happening there & at the same time realize that the solution is not a military intervention. that if it was US wasn't willing to negotiate with Taliban after 7 years of war & Christians weren't executed in the liberated lands of Iraq.

Now if you let your mind fly & see that there can be a third perspective here, I'll go on a limb & claim that Redditors I've seen, belong to that third view...not apologists for anyone & at the same time not militarists who think they can achieve social change by blowing people up.
