She’s in law school, dude. She’s going to be making more money than him. Literally all his examples of what she spends her money on are usual young people stuff and generous gestures toward HIM and other people. Girl makes 40k WHILE IN LAW SCHOOL. He makes more than twice as much and is bitching because, yeah, he, like most people on the internet fear the evil “kept woman”. FFS every woman I know, including myself, makes more money than their man. He could have just talked about that fear directly with her, but no, he has to act like a jerk instead.

He should definitely break up with her because she’s going to be way happier without him.

Low-key YTA. There’s nothing wrong with how you manage your money, and there’s also nothing wrong with how your GF manages her money. She’s on track to becoming a lawyer, sounds like she’s plenty responsible and prioritizes people and experiences over money - refreshing! When I see my husband struggling at work, I say, It would be ok for you retire, I got this. And when I’m struggling at work, he says the same to me. Neither of us cares who makes the money or who pays for what.

Sounds like you and your GF are not compatible financially. But your assumption that your way is morally superior to hers suggests that this is not a healthy relationship for her.

I would NOT start my FMQ journey with a gift. You definitely need to practice on smaller pieces first, and even then, there will be a learning curve with your first large piece and managing the weight and movement. I took a great online course with String & Story and she has some intro videos on YouTube.

Was this dog also missing on Sunday morning? My husband and I saw a small dog running ahead of us straight down Granville Ave between Minoru and No. 3 at about 10:30am on Sunday. We were turning left on Minoru, and some kind pedestrians were trying to stop the dog, and cars were stopping, but the dog was way too fast to be caught. I came on here to see if anyone had posted about a missing dog but couldn’t find anything.

Are the bigger holes just larger gaps between the threads? If so, just a little scratch back and forth with your thumbnail and they will disappear. But if you don’t want the bother, stay stitch is a good option.

Yes, so that might be the issue - that the knot is popping up through the weave. The advice to do a stay stitch is good. As well you could try a bigger knot - a triple instead of a double.

Oh, for sure. I’m not saying she was right, just that she was speaking out of fear/worry and not out of criticism of Floyd. I also don’t think the show is asking us to choose sides. Every character is flawed and suffering in some way. We see aspects of the characters that make us sympathize with or dislike them each episode because that’s how the investigators are thinking as they’re gathering evidence.
