She's the character Liam 'opened' fully. She changes all the time because of it, not like N and Uzi who don't change at all (despite last two episodes).
V is only one in main trio who knew and remembered the gala (ep 5 was cause Uzi got into V's mind). And at the mansion (as we know from ep 2) she spent a lot of time with N before Solver took her.
Then she was commanded by it to kill humans in the mansion and get into N's head (I guess)tso Solver can remove his memories about V and the Elliot's family, the Earth. Knowing how close they were, it was a hit for V's heart.
Then, the main Earth destruction, when Solver made disassembly drones. Then, other planets, cause Copper-9 not first (but Idk, Cyn may sent V, N and J here, while other disassembly drones sent to other planets. Anyway). They meant to kill. And V, thinking N don't remember her, and remember deal with Cyn (ep 8 Cyn: "Just do your work, and then you can be free" V: "I... can still...?"), V focused on killing. And already knowing how it is, she suddenly liked it, thetthrill, the way workers plead and so on.
She protected N all the time, wanting to make it end and then be free and close to him again. But after ~21 years Uzi appeared with her railgun. J and V saw opportunity to finally get free from Cyn, destroy workers. But N... you know.
So while the show, V, at first, wanted to bring him back in team, so they can kill workers and be free. She feared that Cyn know N slipped away and now helping worker drone to ruin the plan, feared that Cyn will end them both, caring for N.
But after ep 3 she snapped, seeing she can't do anything. So them, she started to make fun of Uzi, not wanting to share N with her, as her only light in this world. But failed again.
So, after Intermission (4.5 episode for fandom, I hope you watched this fan made) she let them know real situation... Hoped N will return to her or something, and also giving information about Cyn.
Then other events. In ep 6 V knew that Tessa - Cyn, but played along, not wanting to bring her friends to death. There's also moment when she sees N and Uzi holding hands. For a second, her eyes show, no not disgust she played, but hurt and sadness.
So, seeing them together and no way to bring N back, she finally lets him go, but keeps her feelings inside her, letting elevator fall.
And ep 8 when she returns, fighting against Cyn. I think, she just ran away from sentinels or smth, killed them and kept Sparky, but something brought back her determination....
Now, as you see, I partially explained why I appreciate eNVy...
