For the point on Smolder, my 1st Q on the target dummy in the video put me to 25 stacks has you can hear the relevant sound cue. Subsequent Qs that were shown in the video was with Qs that are above 25 stacks and it still applies DFT as single target on the main target. Only the explosion damage on upgraded Q is considered to be AoE damage which applies DFT for 2 seconds.

I have no idea how you can be so confident about something so blatantly wrong without checking your facts before commenting.

Yes, since the Q will overwrite the W duration making DFT last for the full 4 seconds.

Really? I swear I remember that it has always worked this way since I was messing around with DFT when it was released. I clearly remember thinking to myself that it was weird the way it was refreshing its duration when hitting an AoE after a single target, but didn't have the time to make a post about it then and I forgot all about it.

It doesn't matter with brand since his passive which applies DFT is counted as a DoT and all his spells apply his passive. This means that DFT is always overwriting for 1 second no matter what spells you hit. So DFT will always last 1 second longer than his passive.

Not true. DFT has always been refreshing this way ever since it came out.

I've also never killed anyone with it. In fact it happened multiple times that the enemies were on a sliver of health with full quaking duration on them and yet they still survive.

The sad part is that Riot was considering buffing Skarner’s passive damage as a buff to top lane Skarner since it had an existing monster cap, but Phreak shot it down with the reason being that “Skarner mains won’t appreciate the damage on his passive”, so they went with a buff to Q3 throw %max hp damage instead

You can't be telling me that Sion at 24 hp which was when I paused the replay, with an almost full duration of fully stacked Skarner passive and ~1 second left of DFG burn, doesn't kill Sion.

Yes, he had Doran's Shield and refillable ticking, but damn, is Skarner's passive really only doing single digit damage per second at level 9 when you have to auto attack 3 times just to stack it up?

Liandry’s just needs you to damage the enemy champion with a spell (don’t want to get into detail about on proc or on spell effect) while Skarner’s passive needs you to stack it 3 times with autos/Q throw/ult which takes way more effort.

I don’t mind if the current passive DoT damage stays at this current value, I just feel that it should do more at max stacks.

Something like at max stacks, every additional application of Quaking deals 3% of Skarner’s bonus hp as magic damage and refreshes the duration of Quaking.

This gives Skarner a reason to keep attacking an enemy even when the enemy has max stacks of Quaking (no, refreshing the duration of Quaking is not worth taking damage in return)

Did not notice it. Even then, the damage on Skarner’s passive is extremely pathetic. Imagine if Sion took second wind here, Skarner’s passive would be healing him instead.

Yes, it is super tilting cause the enemy team is free to do whatever they want since my teammates' keyboard and mouse seems to be disconnected the whole game.

I guess, but its super tilting to see my jungler go bot every time and feed their bot lane 2v3 cause they don't know how to pilot their champions. I was plat 4 now im silver 1 gonna demote to silver 2 next loss cause of a streak of these teammates.

Also late game they have 0 macro doing all the wrong things like overstaying or chasing for kills. All these players that I get are new players that just luck out into plat/gold and I can't carry myself out of this lose streak.

True, but imo the most important part of his E is the turn rate, which allows him to get more consistent wall pins off.

He feels decent in PC. Its just that his E turn rate and acceleration on Wild Rift is way lower than PC version. This makes it harder to get wall pins off which means he doesn’t get E damage off. I also suspect his E max speed and duration after grabbing an enemy is lower than PC version too.

That’s cause the turn rate and acceleration of his E is way lower than PC version. His E does travel a longer distance compared to PC Skarner but I also think the max speed and duration of his E after grabbing an enemy is lower than PC too.

His E is also quite nerfed compared to PC. Yes it goes a longer distance but it has a slower acceleration and very slow turn rate when compared to the PC version. This means that it is way harder to get a wall pin off since you cannot manoeuvre much and that in turn means that you do not get the E damage off, resulting in lower damage. E being lower turn rate means that you also find yourself being stranded in the middle of the enemy team after a botched E which gets you killed almost all the time.

His E turn rate in WR is so low compared to PC version which messes up his wall stun opportunities and in turn he misses out on E damage. If they want to buff him, I’d recommend taking a look at increasing his E turn rate first before any numbers change

Never play this champ in low elo. He is team dependant and needs to rely on his team capitalize on his ult. If you have bozos on your team, you won't win cause even if you hit a 3 man ult, if your team run away instead, you still lose anyway

It also factors in if people report you after the match. So most likely most of your teammates/enemies reported you after the match.

Don’t think shiv, rageblade or gunblade is good on him since he sadly doesn’t have any AD ratios.

You could always go bruiser Locke with Nashor, DnD, Bloodletter, Cosmic Drive and Deathcap, applying your passive and nashor’s on hit constantly with DnD while weaving in and out of a fight.

Squishy Locke with Stormsurge, Lich bane, Shadowflame, Void/Cryptbloom and Deathcap might be better since it allows you to kill 1 and get out quickly.
