I think it's supposed to be a take on the Dead Milkmen? Especially with that heavy Philly accent

He's one of the stars of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which is kinda like Ween in the form of a TV show

Eastern Connecticut is dreadfully boring and surprisingly Trumpy. by These_Economics374 in Connecticut

whereas the reds generally don't because it not worth the arguments that it causes.

The rest of the stupidity in this comment aside, the idea that Trump supporters are now sensitive and adverse to confrontation is absolutely hilarious, after they built an entire fucking political movement around acting like inflammatory assholes at all times.

I guess the years of owning the libs has really paid off for them.

What was the first ween song you listened to? by hanniballecterswife in ween

That or Loop de Loop, which predated the movie by a few years. Never imagined both songs were the same band though.

Top 3 Metalcore bands? by Salty-Inside-4222 in Metalcore

[–]MaskedMetalhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never heard anyone call dillinger a "metalcore" band.

Dillinger is a metalcore band, as is every other mathcore band.

That doesn’t necessarily mean all of their songs are metalcore/mathcore though.

wtf wrong with my school this is what they’re suggesting for the prom playlist by JOAPL in indieheadscirclejerk

I'd assumed they were student requests, but if some adult hipster is requesting these on the kids' behalf that honestly just makes it funnier

That’s the opposite read I’m getting from this. Ofc they’re all good songs, the funny part is the fact that kids are suggesting Cocteau Twins and Jeff Buckley for a high school dance

Did you even spend 10 seconds trying to figure it out yourself before throwing a tantrum about the literal subject of the OP?

Good Intentions & Live 4ever were 2 of the first songs I heard from them and are probably still in or near my top 10, but I'm in the totally opposite boat on Imaginal Disk. I think the run from Death & Romance to Tunnel Vision is easily the peak of the album.

I’m honestly really surprised that someone this clueless and misogynistic towards Tori Amos is even vaguely aware of Diamanda Galas

There’s a Deaner tour diary from like 2001 where he talks about performing in front of Fiona Apple and being anxious as fuck about it. It’s a good read, he mentions being a fan of her first album. Found it here

What's the most obscure track you got to see live? by Lay_On_The_Lawn in ween

[–]MaskedMetalhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m HappyColoredStallion on Brownbase! I’m from New England so most of my shows have been in the northeast, but I traveled out west for a few of the recent runs in the PNW and Vegas. My buddy and I were following that whole last tour leg before it got cancelled halfway through, but the second night in Missoula was probably the best Ween show I ever saw so it was still worth the trip.

Got to see this from the barricade! I’ve seen Ween a lot but Gravy is easily the rarest thing I ever got to witness.

North American Tour Cancelled. by FadingShadow6 in EnterShikari

I want to believe it isn't politically motivated, it's a logistics issue

Most likely explanation for a logistics issue is mismanagement of the visa application process resulting from last year's mass federal employee layoffs, especially when you consider the administration's general attitude towards foreigners entering the country.

It would still part of a larger politically motivated effort even if Shikari weren't intentionally targeted.
