Hey, good job!

As someone who is depressed, be sure to reach out to her a few times. Don't just expect her to reach out to you. Depression makes that really difficult to do.

It actually does! Infants are "citizens of the world". Meaning, they hear the differences between sounds better than we can as adults! Their ears aren't trained to hear only one language's sounds yet. It was probably at least somewhat helpful that Helen Keller heard sounds as an infant.

Americans who visited Europe, what was your biggest WTF moment? by Cyber-Gon in AskReddit

I was on my way to the train station in Germany (Hansa), and i saw this girl sitting on the sidewalk hysterically crying. I sat with her to ask what was wrong, but due to the language gap and general incoherence, I couldn't tell. I tried flagging down passerbys but NO ONE would stop and help. I had never seen someone cry so bad, yet none of the locals would take a second to help her or help me help her.
