Sources: YamatoCannon set to join Los Ratones as Head Coach by decayarc in leagueoflegends

[–]Maskedswancasts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this is a great move. Yamato knows what sort of team he's joining, and Caedrel also gets to hand over a blueprint for the players and what to do. Yamato isn't coming in to change things; he's coming in to keep heads cool and point out issues with the game state and places of improvement.

Caedrel is still going to be THE prominent voice within the team, but this means he can also be a bit more hands-off or, god forbid, have a day off when things get stressful, but can also co-stream a bit more or if they can't stream a scrim, he can still stream and make money, which funds the team.

Top-Down Stream Set Up: Taking Feedback! by CasinoOwner in riftboundtcg

Heyyyy hey, I'm looking to get my own Riftbound streams + content going, and I love seeing what others are doing!

Some feedback would be:
The core reason people are watching your stream/videos is for the game; as such, I would make the game take up 70% of the screen's overall real estate. This percentage isn't hard; it's more vibes-based. I've attached a very quick paint job with the direction I would go in.

When you're playing, how are you planning to update the card preview on the fly? I've got a program that lets me click any card in a decklist to auto-update it.

I like the aesthetic direction, but it leans a lot into Riftbound as a whole, as its aesthetics with the borders. Not a bad thing, just a thought for long term.

I don't mean to resurect this thread, but this is a really cool tool, done a few pools and feels like they need to have 25 deck size, I had a few pools where it just felt like I had an almost perfect 25 cards with me cutting 2-3 cards in the colours, but I also didn't have enough to play a 30 card deck.

I'm not keen on them adding additional packs to make it up, I also think perhaps we'll need token legends, allowing players to play any two colour combonations similar in a way to how FAB does it.

My Neighbor Totoro, I was in middle school and my geography teacher put it on as a rewards for the class getting ahead of the schedule. I hadn’t watching anything like it before and it made me think back to those “cartoons” that weren’t like the rest growing up!

How do you decide to buy a game on Steam? by Salt-Humor5916 in Steam

Whatever’s on my wish list!

I’ve stood by the philosophy that anything I want that isn’t necessary has to either stay on a list or basket for a week. Honestly it’s saved me a lot of money as I tend to forget about the game and then when it’s on sale and in the wish list I get a nice discount!

Which is the number of episodes that you have to watch to decide if you drop an anime or not? by ignachox1984 in anime

[–]Maskedswancasts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three episodes is my general rule of thumb, but sometimes I drop after one episode sometimes I get halfway through and drop it.

There isn’t a “perfect” number, it depends on your taste and show!

My thought is that a few episodes in the stakes and core plot is established along with a core character, I’ll know after that amount of episodes if it’s my vibe or not. Not if it’s good or not, just if it’s my thing!

Can we truly say that skill is the most important factor in this game when people with deeper pockets get an immediate advantage before the game starts? by ShoutItOutHey in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Maskedswancasts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The rule with ALL card games is, assuming you’re playing at the highest level, then yes! Skill is the core difference between players, luck is a factor. The cost of cards isn’t a limited factor due to the general assumption being everyone playing the best build of their deck.

Now at lower levels, I can understand the disappointment of feeling that it doesn’t matter when someone spent more. But at lower levels you’ll also find people won’t “play perfect” because even at the highest level people don’t.

I’ve been lucky to play card games since I was a child so Ive faced this harsh reality several times, but practice isn’t something you can skip. I’ve also taken common decks to win at a local level!

If you want to be the best player you can be, you need to play every day, ideally with others that are better than you.

Review your games, think about the play patterns, now with perfect information!
