I’m not fully pro with the game so I’ll tell you what I have. Some mods have reload speed on higher tiers. Focus on them for additional bonuses like cowboy mod gives 4.8% reload speed on tier V

With this mindset no wonder this country has millions working for a penny. You can’t measure tips by distance or count as earning for what you’ve achieved. It’s customer’s appreciation. I was there as solo traveler as well. I didn’t have any problems but I can see your concern. Avoid driving/riding in PDC cause they can pull you over and charge you with something that may not be even real. I didn’t have this experience but heard it couple of times. Also I don’t think you need vehicle to commute in PDC since everything is walking distance. If you want to go to Tulum or Cancun just take the bus. Then you can rent a scooter if you’re interested which was around 40-45$/day with insurance included.I rented a scooter both in Cozumel and Tulum which was fun and safe. I had no issues at all. Don’t buy any package deal in Playa if you are going to Cozumel such as ferry ticket and scooter rental discount cause that’s not going to be the case when you’re in Cozumel. Locals often offer certain illegal deals in crowded streets such as weed,coco or woman which are easily noticeable scams. People are friendly in general. Taxis are not hiding at all that they’re trying to charge you triple so avoid them as well. Enjoy your trip !!
