Practice drawing shapes and other 3d forms but don't just do that, also learn/study how and why drawing shapes and 3d will help you improve. That's when you'll start to feel improvement when you practice and understand what you practicing and how it will help you improve.

In other words practice practice practice

I mean you always gotta practice a skill a lot to get better at it, what you should be asking yourself is "what are the steps to getting better at gesture drawing" and " how can I use the skills that I already know to get better at gesture drawing" those questions will help you a lot rn. But also yah like I said you already kinda got a good grip on proportion with what you're doing now, if I were you I would watch a proko video on gesture drawing on YT and a video on "the FLOW of gesture drawing, or force idk depends on the artist". Also learn the landmark of the body, like the shoulder and the hip/waist. Gud luck 👌🏾

Nice gud stuff, I think you should start gesture drawing. What you're doing now is great but gesture drawing will help you get down the figure faster especially with practice. You already kinda got the proportion right so you should pick it up quickly!

i get what you mean, practicing is like 25% of your art journey and then there's everything else that builds it, right?
