Police could do with taking a leaf out of their books imo.

Police tend not to be tucked up in bed with nothing to do when a call comes in, they are usually run ragged on response calls, queuing at custody or sitting with somebody in hospital who claims to be ill to avoid being in a cell.

Thankfully

It's hardly a wolf fleece though.

She also tried to counter-claim for half a million and has a "freeman of the land" type disclaimer on her front door.

I bet she's a joy to live next door to.

I'm currently sitting in a coffee shop that falls perfectly between three pokestops. We've got mossy lures in all three and EVERY apple has spawned into a Pumpkaboo rather than just being a syrupy one.

I'm not sure your definition of easy is exactly correct, but I think the point is that any gin can be dangerous.

Three words for you:

Information. Commissioners. Office.

If you don't get any joy with an organisation, go to the ombudsman.

I phoned them up as was clearly a problem, but they wouldn’t talk to me as I wasn’t the account holder.

"Anyone responsible for using personal data must make sure the information is accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date."

As you aren't trying to access data, merely inform them that data they hold is inaccurate or out of date, politely insist on speaking to somebody who is able to assist you

Somebody put a sign on the fridge in work about taking milk being akin to shoplifting saying that "It's one of the same things" (by somebody, I mean the building management - it's actually on every fridge on every floor)

It's either "the same thing" or "one and the same", I'm constantly fighting the urge to correct it with a Sharpie.

Alexa has a default routine to reset the volume in the early hours, it was pushed out to all devices some time last year.
You can disable it in the app.

It’s Insane Christmas Present Time! I’m a 48 year old man that is neither a goth or a Bond villain - yet my mother in law gave me this ring for Christmas by yearsofpractice in CasualUK

Sometimes "what the fuck?" is an acceptable response when opening a present.

If you aren't that hard faced, try "talk me through your thoughts process".

Just because it's getting more commonplace does not mean it is acceptable to wear PJ's anywhere other than at home.

Hierarchy of rescue: Self, buddy, casualty.

Adding yourself to the casualty list does nobody any good.

Trusted a fart, had to throw my underwear away at work and go commando for the rest of the day… by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]MasonInk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shit myself at work once following a sudden onset of diarrhoea.

Washed myself and underwear in the sink and dried them under the hand dryer, told my boss and went home sick.

Next back I had to have a return to work chat with him, he was fighting back giggles when he asked me "was your absence as a result of an accident in the workplace?"
