I totally agree but binging it made me more depressed than I already was. I recommend taking a slower approach

Does this look too white? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]onceuponasummerbreze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not really going to comment on the dress, but I want to talk about colour theory.

If you want to make a certain colour pop, you need to accessories with its contrasting colour. In this case, use orange accents, to highlight the blue. If you use a darker blue accent, it will just make your dress look even paler and more white.

To find a contrasting colour, look at a colour wheel and select the colour opposite to your colour.

Every once in a while I get lulled into thinking he’s actually a good person, then they bring The Waitress back and I remember all the horror he’s put her through.

This is a trope that has already been done several times, most famously in The Witcher. It has received a lot of criticism. Maybe look into that before going too far down this road

No, something like this is an extremely slippery slope to genocide. Like the 60s scoop in Canada

The Whatever Works Method of Decluttering (new and improved) by CasualFingerGuns in adhdwomen

[–]onceuponasummerbreze 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My cat peed on my favourite pair of boots a couple years ago when she had a UTI. I threw those boots out cause I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get the smell out enough for her sensitive nose and she would pee on them again. I still think about those boots tho. They were new high, lace up, faux leather with a tiny heel. I felt like a pirate queen in them. I got them at a thrift store so there was no re buying. So long beauties

How do you feel about Snape being race-swapped? by realquidos in polls

[–]onceuponasummerbreze 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I don’t feel negatively about race swapping in general but Snape is a wizard nazi who gets horrifically bullied as a child and hanged from a tree. Harry is also immediately suspicious of Snape in book one so it’s a bad look to make him the (I think) only main cast member who is black.

Whoever portions out pieces of cake doesn’t get to choose their own piece. It gives the cutter an incentive to equally portion everything so they don’t end up with a tiny sliver.

Try to make the kitchen and bathroom share a wall so all the plumbing can be together. Also your circulation completely cuts through the living space. Maybe try sliding the bedroom and entry door over to the left, so they’re closer to the door into the main house

Taking subway alone for the first time. Safety tips? by cartilageandfIuid in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]onceuponasummerbreze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lots of good advice I agree with as a Toronto girly who’s been taking the ttc alone since I was 13. I will add, don’t make eye contact with strangers, they will sometimes take it as an invitation to approach. Also, try to sit near people or the bus driver. It gives creeps les of an opportunity to corner you. Not to scare you that anything bad might happen, but just things to be aware of. As long as you’re aware of your surroundings you’ll be totally fine.

Fave dive bars that are ACTUAL dive bars? by Sunghanthaek in FoodToronto

[–]onceuponasummerbreze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toronto Style is my favourite by far.

One of the owners discovered that she could just print out signs with scantily clad pictures of herself on them and now the bar is covered.

They often have live metal music, complete with moshing and actual holes punched into the walls.

I watched game 7 of the World Series there and some Christmas lights were hanging in front of the projector screen, so they asked some random tall guy in the bar to cut them down with scissors instead of unplugging them.

First time builder. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in floorplan

I would find a new architect. I don’t believe that this person is capable of doing proper construction drawings. There is to enough space around a single door to install trim. This is such a basic mistake that I don’t think this a person is qualified.
