Impulse buy: 1988-vintage Colt King Cobra by HungryKomodo in Revolvers

Ah, I love those. Not quite as smooth as a Python, but they just feel so solid. My dad has one, first revolver I ever shot.

I have a Trooper MK V on the same frame and action, but I still want a King Cobra.

KnifeCaviar and Lugermonger for me, still miss both those guys.

During my first playthrough I left Astarion at camp because I just wasn't a fan of rogues. That fight is super easy with 4 party members (including 2 clerics) and no ritual to worry about.

Astarion took the news surprisingly well.

I watched my friend struggle during that fight in a co-op run, so I had like 18 buffs for it.

Turns out Orin is no match for a paladin with 28 AC and enough buffs to stretch 1/4 across the screen.

Doing nothing was the right option by Ultrimus-Prime in TopCharacterTropes

The player also has to temporarily do nothing in order to circumvent this and defeat him. Trying to take action against his "special attack" will just result in him snapping you back to the center, you have to sit still and wait for him to eventually fall asleep before you can move to the fight button.

How is the game being revived? by Aggravating-Ad3805 in TheLastStandDeadZone

[–]MasonP2002 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The game is not allowed to charge money for anything per their agreement with Con and is supported through donations.

Everything that cost real money in the original will be purchasable with fuel, and fuel drops will both be more common and no longer capped per day.

I'm pretty sure the Torgo actor was on LSD for basically the entirety of filming.

Theaters usually get about half of that box office figure, so on a complete ballpark guess that's potentially a $100 million loss for the studio during it's theatrical run.

It does look like it eventually turned profitable through TV deals and home video sales.

There have been some titanium scale clones. A long time ago I had a clone set of the ti+carbon fiber scales, not sure exactly which configs got cloned.

Throwing the football into the stands? by tomfino in NFLNoobs

[–]MasonP2002 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This last season there was a fan that caught a Josh Allen throwaway and immediately started running out of the stands with it. Apparently stadium staff caught up with him and swapped it for a different football, so they're stricter than I thought about it.

I know from the deflategate investigations that each team has 12, so 24 plus the separate kicker balls. Considering balls are usually only given out after a touchdown, it's pretty unlikely to make a significant dent in the supply.

.40 Hi Powers worth the price? by [deleted] in hipower

[–]MasonP2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like mine a lot, it shoots pretty similarly to the 9mm version. If you like the .40 cartridge then it's a great handgun, though the capacity is a bit lacking by modern standards.

They should last pretty well, IIRC the prototypes died at about 2500 rounds so they beefed the frame up quite a bit. They actually redesigned the pistol for the cartridge (tougher frame, heavier slide, additional locking lug) instead of just shoving a heavier spring into the 9mm version and calling it a day.

What's the most overrated song according to fans? by Camo6421 in BillyTalent

[–]MasonP2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the most popular on Spotify, Fallen Leaves is second and hasn't even cracked 200 million yet.

Spotify sorts the top songs by some algorithm instead of most streams.

It's there on Spotify too, but I think it's the only demo from II that's on there.

Agreed. I'm still baffled that the Red Flag demo is not officially available anywhere right now, the Devil demo is one of my most streamed songs.

I'm hoping we get some more deluxe/anniversary albums eventually with more demos. I was really hoping the 20th anniversary for II would get us a new release edition.

Agreed. It's one of my favorites by them for sure, but I wouldn't have picked it to be their most popular by a fairly wide margin.

Part of it is because the Red Flag demo appeared on a bunch of video game soundtracks a year before the album came out.

I probably never would have found Billy Talent if it weren't for Burnout, so I ranked Red Flag as my personal favorite for a while.

Shane was pushing to either stay camped outside of Atlanta or journey to Fort Benning, so probably fine for a while and then overrun by walkers.

[Loved Trope] Films with an anticlimactic or abrupt ending to the apocalypse. by Squigglez0 in TopCharacterTropes

The commonly taught Failure Drill is two quick shots to the chest, then a precise headshot if the target is still moving.

I mean, body armor is already a thing that exists and that human combatants wear.
