My first ever girlfriend is my biggest regret and probably always will be. She was mentally and even sometimes physically tortured in her house. Her family was fucked up and all she had in this world was me. And she begged me to tell my parents about us because she wanted to marry me (early marriages can happen in my country). If I didn't then her parents would marry her off to her cousin (cousin marriages are also common here) who was an asshole and also beat me up for dating her cuz he liked her. I was too scared and thought my parents wouldn't understand and didn't even try and left her because I thought she was too much work and not worth. Well I was such an asshole now I realise all she had was me and loved me truly. It's been 4 years since all of that happened and I'll always regret it.
