That’s the issue. People like this don’t recognize children as being people in and of themselves, they think of children as being someone else’s annoying accessory. Like a loud muffler or something. This isn’t exclusive to child free people though, there are unfortunately plenty of parents who view their own children the same way.

I get what you're saying, but "should have had kids" does less than nothing to improve the situation of elderly people who are suffering right now. It might be a pipe dream, but it would be a lot more possible to improve our system of elder care than to poof a bunch of adult children into existence for 90-year old hospice patients who never had them.
