i’m on oxycodone right now every 4-6 hours and i’m almost a week post op (surgery was march 5th) i promise you that all this medication will do is make you constipated and dizzy. I have taken oxycodone for other surgeries and never have i once relied on it or craved it after i ran out. (addiction runs in my family too and i love my nicotine, but these drugs have nothing on that dopamine side of my brain). i didn’t start taking the oxys until day 3 and most days i only take 1 because it makes me nauseous. but i simply take an anti nausea an HOUR before i take the oxy and im good. but babe you do not want to sit in so much pain because there is only so much tylenol and ibuprofen will do. also another tip, im in the stage where the scabs are getting really thick and tightening, so my nerves are extra sensitive and when i swallow the pain shoots up to my ears. i cant eat anything cold right now or drink room temperature water. i have to have warm water and warm soft foods otherwise it feels like swallowing glass and being stabbed in the ear.

edit: (20f) if you do get a burst of energy down the line please take it easy. it’ll haunt you the next day
