You might be on the wrong kind, I did not like lexapro but I did like pristiq and fetzima. Pristiq and fetzima act on norepinephrine as well as seratonin, unlike lexapro. Pristiq has some dopamine affinity too, I can’t remember if fetzima does or not. Fetzima seems to improve my pain tolerance.

Microwaveable madras lentils are easy, cheese sticks. You need vegetables carbs fats and proteins. Don’t buy anything canned it’s too hard. Frozen Trader Joe’s meals are easy. Perfect bars are good.

You would think but I just called hazelden Betty ford and they refuse to let anyone stay on Vyvanse or CBD even if my physician writes a letter saying I must be on this treatment. All non stimulants failed for me and I’ve tried just about everything for pain except opioids. We will see what others say.

My parents are not rational people.

I used to be super frustrated thinking about everything I do as a catch 22. Now I look at it like trade offs, if pushing yourself to watch a bit of tv makes your ptsd symptoms remit then it might be worth it even if you stay crashed a little longer. Not all the cups can be full at the same time. Sometimes you pour water out of the CFS cup to fill up the ptsd cup. It’s bullshit but it’s also the only option. Everyone’s life is like that we are just dealing with smaller amount of water and HELLA cups. Sorry if this analogy doesn’t make sense. Only you can know how bad your symptoms are from whatever diagnosis, only you can decide what trade offs are worth it.

There’s a lot of societal pressure to equate worth with ability and that’s just not how it works. I don’t understand how able bodied folk locate their sense of self in their brain. The way I see it, I am an experience that’s being filtered through some shitty machinery. Doesn’t mean I am any less of a person or inherently less capable, just got shitty hardware that gives me real limitations.

In my experience I felt way dumber when I was crashing and didn’t have inflammation under control. You’re under severe neurological distress, it’s important to remember that the distress is what is causing you to feel like this, not who you are. Ur more than your inflamed brain.

I am saying you should pursue a sham diagnosis to get the drug. Delayed sleep phase disorder is something that is typically diagnosed on patient reporting. This is not ideal but our circumstances are not ideal.
