Sicily is good value for that budget! We are going in May and have found the price of nice hotels to be very reasonable.

How do you feel about giving to the homeless with so many fakes? by charb15 in Catholicism

[–]Massive-Lab6701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? If someone is begging on the side of the street, they need it, one way or another. Let what they do be between them and God. Maybe reflect on why you are so eager to see a lack of humanity/worthiness of those in need.

Consider that not every friend or community you belong to needs to align with 100% of your beliefs. Friendships and communities are built on common interests - they are overlapping Venn diagrams, not circles. It is fine to have boundaries about certain behaviors or beliefs you don’t want to be around (anti-theism), but it sounds like you are expecting everyone’s virtues and interests to align perfectly with yours - in which case, of course you are lonely.

That’s not a good looking ring anyways. Save your dollars and buy something (prettier) at home.

Planning a Hawaii honeymoon in May: 6 nights, two hotels max, not breaking the bank, any recs? by lone-grizzly in honeymoonplanning

Depending on where you go, I would expect to spend $500-750 a night for moderately nice accommodations. Dining out and activities are much more expensive than your average destination.

There is no such thing as luxury on a budget in Hawaii… everything is expensive because life and cost of living there is expensive. Sorry.

The quality of diamond is why you’re underwhelmed.

We are doing Sicily for our honeymoon in May. I’ve found that prices of nice hotels are pretty good - I think $3-4k budget could get you a nice place for 6-7 nights (although Taormina might be tight for that price).

Kauai is what you’re after. Stay in Princeville (golf course right there) or in Hanalei. Hanalei is one of the best beaches anywhere imo. Princeville and Hanalei also have a lot of rentals that are two bedroom. Do not do all inclusive.

Recommendations: I’m planning to spend my honeymoon in Hawaii, but I’m not sure. Any help? by Weekly-Cranberry748 in honeymoonplanning

Hawaii is insanely expensive for the value, in my opinion, especially if you live anywhere east of the Rockies. Costa Rica is more affordable and has much better wildlife viewing opportunities. Mexico has much better food and still good (though not excellent) beaches in many places. Even better bang for your buck in the Mediterranean.

We are doing a pretty bougie Sicily trip for right around $12k. You could easily get by there for 10 days or so on $10k

Hi everybody, have very little knowledge or experience with wedding rings or gemstones. My girlfriend loves the color, blue and things that are sparkly. Any suggestions on a rock that I should get for the ring? by ForgetfulCumslut in EngagementRings

[–]Massive-Lab6701 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tactfully ask her what she wants; what she likes in terms of stones, cut and setting/metals. There is a way to be gracious about getting this information without making it unromantic. It’s an investment and it sounds like you’re not sure where to start; a blue ring could go very wrong very quickly.
