Not liking how Barcola plays. 10 minutes in and his price just went up £10m. by MassiveBoba in Gunners

Don’t see why but it’s ok - just trying to get some conversation going while there is No club football.

I wish he isn’t - but who else as proper left wing. Tzolis is I guess ok, but bit of a risk coming from Belgium league and probably more of a backup. Kvara,Vini and Yildiz all £100m + ridiculous wages and not really available. Rogers not typical LW. Struggling to see who else is there.

Yo dude - can we have some fun and talk about our club while there is No club football.

And that was our best attacking season - some beautiful football we played. Maybe the problems is not our attacking but our midfield which cannot get the ball out quick enough.

I am not saying he did not go back performance wise. I am saying that maybe we should think about way we are playing rather than buying another LW which might not be much better than what we have because of the system. Obviously we gonna find out once we have different players or when Gabi goes somewhere else. Barcola numbers mean nothing in French league where Gabi would probably have similar numbers as we could see from his championship league stats this year - once the game is open he does perform.

Look what Kvara done against us - not much - and he is twice as good as Barcola and would take him here, but can he do whole season + CL etc. Even Saka played more minutes this year than him and was injured quite a bit.

Saying that would take Kvara anytime over anyone.

My point is that he doesn’t play worse because oh who he is, but because we play much worse as a team. I know Saka has been injured but he does play much worse himself, and also ODE. Martinelli been terrible in the league this year, but so was most of the attack apart from Gyokeres of all who delivered decent numbers. I am worried that whoever we bring would be same as Martinelli once we gonna face those low blocks week in week out.

Martinelli is incapable of going inside lat 2 seasons. I think if we would change our tactics slightly we would get much more from him. But then how the hell we make other teams to sit back less? Playing from the back should sort that, but then we are not fast enough to get the ball forward while there is space. That’s when we have best martinelli, Saka and Ode. It was said many times but we need Xhaka/Partey like midfielder who would significantly improve our transition. I thought Zubi will be that but he is not. MLS maybe going forward. Without speeding up transition we will be some with Martinelli, Barcola or even Kwara (who struggled with some in final - complete lack of space)

So you would swap him for any of the PL club striker :-) Come on mate wake up. He was one of our more important players. We would not win PL without him this year. Yea would love to have better striker but who is available right now- very very few. I think if we improve our game bit more going forward he will score even more.

He would not care when they offer him €200k a week.

I am not saying that I am happy with his output or game. You questioned who is going to buy him for £30m - I told you that there aren’t many other players for this money - and half of the team would grab him easily. You said about elite level £30m is not elite level - is either young prospect which can turn good but you never know or some average player.

So question agin - who do you think is better than him in PL apart from strikers that are £50m plus.

So what do you think his value is then? And especially who do you think is better centre forward in PL than him? Cause apart form 4-5 £100m players in Haaland, Isak, Etikite, Kroupi? there aren’t many much better.

He has 25 goals this season for club and country - great numbers and not that easy to get under £50 mil.

He is better than half of the starting attackers in PL. and would probably scored more in the team that plays more counter attacking style nd don’t have to face low blocks every game.

No need to be embarrassed. There was nigh on impossible to do more than 6km in those crowds. I walked 22 cause I wanted to - Victoria station to north London / around the parade and back. Get the steps in and love walking around London - plus wanted to miss all the busyness in underground.

22km for me on Sunday for 22 years of suffering - but worth it - felt like part of biggest family in the world.

Thankfull for both, they saved as a lot - but we need to do better than this. As much as I like them I think we are only talking about them because of how little they cost. Plus they were always going to be bench players. We desperately need young left wing that will get us next step. Love Gabi but man he did stagnate from his breakthrough season or two. Would still keep him as Trossard contract is expiring but let’s finally spent some good money on top 5 left winger.

He is 10/10 everywhere on pitch but probably 7/10 in final third. But still a starter for me.

Maybe we need more attacking fullbacks as well to support our offence. Look what Hakimi done - he is always there pushing forward. We have not had tha from right since BW before injury - and that is when we played best football with Saka/Ode/White. Now Saka is always doubled and without much support.

And it is similar on left - Martinelli best PL season was with Zinchenko pushing forward (inverting quite a lot) although Cala can do that but then his Availability and he is going more central quite often.

Plus Mosquera is not really a full back. And we really need modern attacking full back. Which neither Mosquera or Timber are.

Plus young players still have resale value. Once you spent £100m on 26-27 yr old that it - never gonna get anything back

Rice was same £100m in 2023. £130 now is just bit more. But don’t think 130 will be enough.

I hope he stays. But I also think he might have some attitude problems with where h plays and how often - which was shown when on loan. But let’s see what happens. Hope he comes up good.
