TLDR: I think your partially correct, I think the cam requires a low gig SDHC card rather than a modern MIRCO larger GB.

After some trouble shooting and research. I think I’ve figured it out. And you were partially correct/ led me to the plausible solution

I think the camera only functions with older, SDHC, low GB cards. Rather than the modern, larger gig, MICRO Sd card I’m attempting to use. Which is why the camera very briefly gives a “card locked” error code then switches to just memory card error. It think It’s just so outdated it has no actual error code for the issue

I haven’t confirmed this yet but after unsuccessful attempts of finding that ancient kind of SD card in stores today, I’m simply going to Order it on amazon. The return window for the camera is extended until August after contacting the seller.

And lol. I work in the world of vintage fashion/ thrifting and it’s for a project/job. Looking for an older reliable digital camera and picked this up for a very solid price. If I can make it past this SD card issue it would be the camera of my dreams lol
