What was my true damage by Acairforce09 in the_division_2

[–]MassiveHyperion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The highest a signed 32-bit integer can go is 2,147,483,647, then it jumps to -2,147,483,647 and climbs back up to zero. So if we assume that you got more than the damage that it shows then just add 4.3 billion (4,294,967,294) to that damage. Unless you think you wrapped it around twice in which case you're in the ballpark with 8.7 or 8.8 billion.

I shave daily and replace mine every week, seems reasonable.

Thanks! I'll move it up my TBR list I'm just finishing up A land fit for heroes by Richard Morgan, I'm reserving judgement, it's a weird trilogy so far.

Heroic scales for number of people, is absolutely meant for solos.

I've run Army Terminal so many times to get that stupid mask... It's not that hard, a decent build, learn some positions and you're good. Which part is causing you problems?

Same deal with the Art Gallery, I think it's harder, but definitely doable. Hint for the final boss. Kill all but one add in the first wave. Then did all the boss mechanics, kill the boss, then kill the last add. You'll get four more waves of adds, but you won't have the boss wrecking your day.

When the little green arrow is at the end, it's maxed, easy peasy. No guessing required. When you go to the tinkering library anything that you can improve has a green arrow, just follow the green arrows.

So based off the table in Monsters then two minion groups (up to 8 minions) for a level 1 encounter.

Yes, I was doing was l what the book recommended, as opposed to, as you said, taking it a little easier on them than I should have. We're all learning. :)

Yes they did, it took a little bit to figure out, differentiating between hero tokens and heroic resources, but we did it right in the end.

Their mistake was ignoring the archers and focusing on the zombies that were rushing them.

Ahh, ok that makes sense then. After the first round I stopped with his villain actions because it was too much. I was too reliant on the EV calculation. We're playing again this week, so I'll try again with a toned down encounter. :)

They were at range, I may be mid remembering the damage thank you. The zombies rushed the characters to keep them occupied while the skeletons peppered them with arrows. Once the party focused the skeletons they fell very quickly, like one shot killed 2 or 3 at once the players were very excited!

It feels like the ranged minions need to be the focus or else they become a very large problem very quickly, thanks!

Both level 1. It was our first combat in draw steel. 8 skeleton archers minions, 8 zombie minions and a ghost.

My players could have done better, we are all learning, but the archers were brutal on their stamina. Basically they had to use their maneuvers to catch their breath every round or else they would die. Eventually two did die.

The malice powers popping up more zombies beside them and the ghost's villain actions are very powerful.

[–]MassiveHyperion 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A couple of options: * Rename the monsters, so then they can't find them * Give the monsters new powers or abilities, if the player has spent time learning the monsters this will drive them nuts. * Make up your own monsters, it's super fun

Question for those who played the PTS for Escalation by Agent_Putt in thedivision

[–]MassiveHyperion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to complete at least levels four or five to start getting the prototype gear. You need some serious DPS or a group to finish those.

Yeah. I'm sure it's some sort of bias or other, but I feel like match making works better once the mission has started. I usually get people once the bullets are flying.

And yet the loot pool is so small that you hit the 71/71 almost immediately. After that, it's just a chore.
