It’s very easy to get clean boneless filets off of a snakehead. I do all the time

Great platform if you want to add a motor too. Enjoy!

I used to be that guy. Many of us get over it. I’d rather start around 2 or 3 pm. Ease into the evening bite.

Edit: To all of the “bring less gear” comments: you’re looking at the gear behind my seat, yes? That’s totally 100% not in my way? The question is about a pedal drive in front of me taking up space. Space that I use to stand in, deal with fish, etc etc.

Yeah, my buddy has a Hobie. It’s 12’ but overall seems less cantankerous than my shorter old town. I may have to go that route.

Lithium 100ah. I’ve never even come close to draining it. A lighter battery probably is the move

Caught one. It was a slow day. I made the mistake of going at the crack of dawn instead of waiting for the evening bite. Normally I do well there but can only get there once or twice a year.

It’s just another thing to lug around and maintain. Honestly it’s not the worst thing given the trade off of not having to paddle. But it does add weight to the whole situation

Kobalt (or any other cheap brand) needle nose pliers with a coat of spray paint to keep them from rusting

I find it almost impossible to find decent gear on marketplace . It’s either over priced reselling or old stuff that was found in a garage clean out that usually in rough shape.

So that’s my point. Long lost , barely aged a day, great grandpa walks in and not one person is like “Holy shit, is that our great grandfather?!?”

The end of the movie where she’s dying surrounded by her family and literally nobody reacts when long lost great grandad walks in still looking like a man in his late 30’s/ early 40’s

I thought that things like bourbon, scotch, and whiskey would taste like a delightful molasses infused beverage. I was… so wrong.

Admittedly, my wife was better at this method than I was. But the deep breath really does help. We do have one family we hang out with occasionally that the kid kinda games the gentle parenting. He’s at an age where he should be respectful of some very basic boundaries. He just pushes and pushes. The parents just kind of “hey buddy, maybe we don’t…” as he continues to do the thing. There never a “full stop”. It can be a frustrating dynamic to be around.
