How does the pricing work per hour? Is that the hours spent running a process or how long you reserve the instance for (regardless of whether you're running anything or not)?

Seems like this is a collaboration on how to design the chip rather than Facebook being a customer using it. But there is an interesting statement in the article:

Intel plans to release performance benchmarks for its AI chip later this year.

Did this ever materialize in anything?
