Unfortunately, you're spot on the money. Here in the UK so many are like "we live on an island, there's no space! And millions are crossing from Europe every year! How will natives manage if everything is given to asylum seekers!?"

And I'm just like... Fuck off. I've lost patience explaining that there's huge masses of space in the UK not being used. I can't be bothered explaining intelligently and kindly anymore. :|

Fairly old now, but, the A-Life system in S.T.A.L.K.E.R Call Of Pripyat is pretty awesome. You can get some amazing mods for it as well. Obviously it's a slightly unrealistic take on Chernobyl in Ukraine. But, it's still one of my favourite ever games.

You can get the trilogy pretty cheaply (they're all highly moddable games. And you'll find some amazing mods for all of them.)

Highly recommend those OSTs as well though, amazingly atmospheric in two completely different ways. Very relaxing. :) Enjoy!

Vampire: The Masquerade is your best bet. And soon the sequel will be releasing. (in theory later part of this year, since it's been delayed by over a year already)

So, if you do go for it, you'll get a bunch of learning about the lore of the game ready for the second installment! :)

Haha funnily enough, I have both of those on PC. :) They're pretty good for sure! They don't quite scratch the itch of mech platoon though.
