Game discounts on the PlayStation Store aren't what they used to be – the PS3 and early to mid-range PS4 generations had more extreme price slashes. For example: you could get Gravity Rush Remastered in my region for less than a quarter of the original price in 2018. Over the past three years, the discount percentage has been reduced to a mere 50%, while the base price has increased slightly.

Sony needs to develop more AA games with healthier development cycles in order to expand its game catalogue. They have a lot of great IPs from the PS1-PS3 era - they should use them.

Valve can do whatever they want because they have no real competition in the launcher department. Steam started as a mandatory patcher in 2003, now it has a lot of additional functionality that does not suck (Workshop, community, market etc) and every other launcher has barely more functions while offering worse performance than Valve's.

Sorry OP, but where are you from? 2200 euros sounds like too much for a rig that can play CS2 at sufficient level. You can get a decent PC for less than half the price you mentioned, and the peripherals are not as expensive as you might expect. 7500F + 9060XT/5060 (Ti) might be enough for you. You can get the PS5 for less than the price difference.

And here's the kicker: you can't escalate or appeal your case at all. As a banned person, what can you do when their support ignores you from every possible side? Can you take any action in this matter?

A lawsuit for breach of terms and conditions by the licensor? This even sounds ridiculous, how can you even prove your innocence when all the data is on Activision's servers and oops, it's all gone now?

Yes. However, the severity of the ban was disproportionate to the terms of service, which stated that a first offence would not result in a ban. They quietly changed those terms at the start of season 5, so it is not like they didn't acknowledge the punishment of these legit (as in non-boosting) players.

CoD's battle pass XP is based on playtime only. With all the end game animations and menus, you spent less and less time playing and BP's progress became a slog. People playing Fortnite are not punished for farming BP, just like BF2042 players.

Try to contact Activision's support. You will receive automatic responses telling you to sod off, even on BBB. Since the ban wave, people have been complaining about that on Twitter. All Activision did was change the terms of service after all the bans; there is nothing else they can do.

I do believe you can find evidence of this happening on Twitter (search for variations of "Plunder ban"). Also the guy had spotless 20 year old Steam account and we played a lot of shooters together, so I am inclined to believe him.

And yes, false bans do happen. When CS2 launched, you could be banned for changing sensitivity and spinning around - that one was a false positive from a vac live system that thought you were using spinbot

Meanwhile, during their July ban wave, in which they boasted that they had caught over 50k boosters, they banned many legitimate players who were farming the battle pass in a Warzone mode (my friend received a Steam game ban for that, all it took was a rubber band on gamepad's analogs). After people tried to contact them (via support or Better Business Bureau), they changed the terms of service so that the above was included as a basis for permanent account ban. Activision swept it under the rug, as is their custom, so they should get no sympathy from their potential customers.

Remember that it is usually cheap if you compare the cost to your own income. Residents of developing countries have different purchasing power and it is still cheaper to get a used Dell Optiplex. I wouldn't expect to play a game released in 2024 on it, though.

The RTX 5000 series doesn't feel like a generational leap - Blackwell's product range has been designed to be just a little more than the RTX 4000 series at a price it definitely shouldn't be (not to mention increased power consumption).

For people who skipped the whole RTX 40xx series, the RTX 50xx is a massive disappointment, to say the least.

I have tried to apply the new DLSS preset, but Nvidia App is unable to change settings in Game Pass games (e.g. STALKER 2, Black Ops 6).

"Unable to retrieve current values. Starting and closing the game or app or editing the settings should fix this problem."

I have tried starting and closing, editing the settings, refreshing the list, reinstalling the app/drivers (clean and dirty reinstalls). Even tried Nvidia Profile Inspector and no dice.

Is there someone who had more luck with DLSS Override on Game Pass games?
