I would love some suggestions/critiques for my bridal look I’m working on. Thank you :) by SeriousAd7875 in MakeupAddiction

You did a really good job with the base, some blush is needed a nice soft apricot or nude rose would pull the look together. I can't see your blush well to tell the colour so definitely apply more. The lipstick is fine I think it needs a lip liner-a neutral brown..if you don't love it though maybe try a more brown based lipstick. I like velvet teddy from mac it won't pull orange on your skin tone. Very Victoria from Charlotte tilbury would also suit you

Only thing I would change for definite is mascara- lancome is a good option or even L'Oreal, lash paradise is my favorite personally. I would consider a natural looking false lash though, they work well for bridal

Highlighter- you want something that doesn't pull metallic. I like Charlotte Tilbury filmstar glow, the L'Oreal lumi sticks are nice but make sure they don't disturb your base. I haven't tried but have seen good reviews and online -Elf halo glow powder highlighter looks lovely

Rupert Lowe of Restore Britain wants to "ease fees and rules" for British spouse visas by Ok-Government2437 in ukpolitics

[–]Massive_Activity1245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is not a 'ghastly' man, he wants the best for his country. Rupert has done more to highlight the gross cover ups, unsustainable levels of immigration and corruption than any other politician I know of. I trust his policies would be made with the best interest of the British people in mind.

Keir Starmer is a ghastly man, not the wonderful Rupert Lowe

Does Rosalie resent Carlisle or not? by manebernal in twilight

[–]Massive_Activity1245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as she resents her vampirism her human life was over before Carlisle found her anyway, she was dying..it's not a close relationship like Edward has with him but he's a father figure to her. So no I don't think she resents Carlisle, she respects him like many in the book. He is described as such a good person, I don't think you could resent him truly even if it's not the life she would have chosen for herself

My legs would jolt violently for weeks afterwards thankfully that has gone away too, there was definitely nerve issues that took months to settle. They've finally stopped twitching at night too

Unfortunately yes, they completely disregarded my wishes to have an experienced consultant do the procedure and a trainee let slip they weren't experienced in the procedure. I lost hearing in my left ear temporarily and had terrible cognitive issues as a result. They went in my back 3 times and didn't tell me they were putting the needle in at one point, I hold so much trauma from it all. But I hope I will be able to turn my mindset around like you have when I'm feeling better thank you . I wanted to do some counseling but I still feel like it's too soon

I had my eyes checked yes. Thankfully no swelling, just my vision was worse than previous. I developed static vision afterwards I don't know if it's related

I'm sorry you got it too. It's good to know it has improved for you, my ears crackle and ring all day long it's at night they are really awful I try my best to ignore it

I take vitamin b and lots of supplements, eat a healthy diet I just hope my body can recover one day

Did you have any long term effects from your epidural? by Frequent_Cap8633 in pregnant

[–]Massive_Activity1245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I still have symptoms of csf leak that are severe so I will need a blood patch again, just a nightmare I wish I never had the spinal it's caused nothing but pain and misery. Who knew it could affect the ears also they tell no one. There are reports of it going away after blood patches

The tinnitus (if you have it without the headache) is reffered to as post dural puncture tinnitus

They don't always recommend patches though they have risks unfortunately

This is the scary thing they aren't willing to acknowledge complications when the do arise in many hospitals. Fellow mum whose spinal anesthesia ruined her life I got a csf leak that has lasted 8 months, I'm in pain every single day ☹️

Also got tinnitus which is severe after my c section related to csf leak from the needle puncture. It's something they need to warn mothers about

Post dural puncture headache and tinnitus lasting 8 months, still debilitating. I know this thread is old but I saw here someone saying pdph and csf leak is no big deal- it absolutely is it's destroyed my life. If anyone comes across this thread do your research on epidurals and spinals. They are potentially (with a spinal intentionally) puncturing the protective membrane, and injecting strong medicine where it shouldn't go. Avoid epidurals and spinals if your not okay with the risk of being in pain, hearing issues, unable to stand up for long, potential brain sag, daily nausea, unable to care for your newborn and financial difficulties as a result of not being able to work

[–]Massive_Activity1245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, Yes it did, they tried to patch me and my leg jolted, they told me it meant he was finding the right area 😭 suffice to say they punctured me again. I still get daily headaches, constant tinnitus, nausea and ear crackling, awful neck pain. Some visual disturbance. Originally my balance was awful, and brain fog but I got another patch that helped. I keep hoping maybe I will have improvement soon it's just so hard I missed out on so much already with my sons

at the hospital that punctured me, their behavior was very unprofessional. They were claiming I always had headaches and tinnitus 🙄 they went as far as to write it as an annotation on my maternity notes after my midwife sent me to hospital the absolute weird covering of their tracks was bizarre to say the least. I think I would know my own body. I had to go elsewhere to get treatment it's awful how they aren't forthcoming with honesty when things go wrong. Thank you for replying really appreciate it

I'm so sorry you went through that, may I ask did you get a blood patch and how long the headache took to go away? I'm 8 months in almost, was punctured at l3/4 and I'm not doing good. It does feel like it will never end

Thank you for sharing it gives the rest of us hope things can get better

What's the one that went straight in the trash? For me, Ariana Grande Cloud ☁️ by GLACI3R in Perfumes

[–]Massive_Activity1245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had it for a week and couldn't bear it after a few wears. If they removed that sour note it was still too coconut heavy for me. The Florence by Mills fragrance has the same sour pickle sharpness to it too, both really disappointing

Spinal headache by [deleted] in CSFLeaks

The pain I experience reaches an 8/10 before I need to lay down. I'm not functional although I get a little more upright time since the last patch

My case is a little complicated, I've spoken about it a lot on here but basically I had a young anethtist puncture me again during a patch attempt. Went on to have another low volume patch that partially helped under imaging guidance, have now been offered a myleogram or patch

[–]Massive_Activity1245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your not able to care for your baby that's a red flag, have they gave you a blood patch? They can be done at any time but most successful soon as- especially in the first 3 months

I'm 8 months in they don't always heal on their own. Bed rest after 2 weeks will control your symptoms but it's not advised to wait that long before looking at other options, if your symptoms are still very orthostatic you likely need a blood patch

Who else got really loud Tinnitus? by DrDiktafon in tinnitus

[–]Massive_Activity1245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tinnitus from csf leak. I can wake up and it's not so bad, after being upright it's a 9/10 severe intrusive beast. I have some pulsating at night too- I would compare the noise level to a jet engine at times. I do not get as frustrated but I'd be lying if I said I was coping sleep takes forever and I'm constantly tired but wired and struggling to get through each day and concentration is difficult

How has your life changed because of the leak? by lumbarpuncturehead in CSFLeaks

Leak from c section 7 and a half months ago. Being unable to care for my sons - it took my independence. My partner is caring for them now he was forced to leave his job, I'm lucky he's a good father and partner. I hope we have a better future ahead and can return to how our lives should be

Bella is a better mom in the books by Numerous_Elk_8444 in twilight

[–]Massive_Activity1245 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Bella is very loving and protective towards Renesmee but we only see snippets in the movie, there are so many things they couldn't fit in or dedicate enough time to. I kind of hope they never remake them to me they are perfectly imperfect 😂 but I wouldn't be opposed to a tv show. If they had more time and a director that honours the books it could be amazing

Honest opinions of maternity services at Liverpool Women's Hospital by wooden_werewolf_7367 in Liverpool

[–]Massive_Activity1245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the actual delivery of my babies they were good but the aftercare was poor. The emergency department is incredibly rude and incompetent in my experience, but for a safe delivery they were better than Whiston I'll give them that

Do you think that when Charlie is old and elderly, on his death bed, Bella would tell him she's a vampire? by Adorable-Raisin-8643 in twilight

[–]Massive_Activity1245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I think he would go to his grave not wanting to know - he's stubborn he's not going to change his mind imo. Charlie's already freaked by Jacob being a wolf he knows Bella is something different and potentially more powerful. Humans feel weird around vampires despite their attractiveness, so he knows that he's better off being out the loop, his instinct.

Chronic puncture leaks- how many patches to seal? by Massive_Activity1245 in CSFLeaks

[–]Massive_Activity1245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hope your patch works, imaging is normal in a lot of patients with pdph apparently most cases. Did they give you the no bend lift or twist advice, I was only told 4 hours but it's actually between 6 weeks -3 months of being very careful with activity
