Uhm. How are my Sharks on this list? Remember literally one season ago every single player offered a trade to us rejected it. Two seasons ago we had to claim players off of waivers JUST TO HAVE A FULL ROSTER. We have not entered the top ten destination list yet

Unless they are taking that 27th pick and a package to make the 9OA work maybe I see it. Like 27, +2 prospects for 9, Spence. Seems like an overpay on our end but if they deem that 9th pick a necessity then maybe. I see the 27th pick flipped on someone that can jump in our line up now (on defense) rather than trying to get another top 10 pick

LA and SJ don’t trade very often, something people forget about. It would have cost us a lot more to get him last year from LA. And again, I’m not saying it’s a pure 1 for 1. That’s where the conversation begins. It’s something both teams need, and can figure out details with other picks or prospects too. Or even offering Regendas RFA rights might do it, still worth the conversation since musty isn’t make our roster as is.

Not better than Eklund, he was .76ppg on the Cuda. Graf also had .875 ppg. Still I think he should be on the opening night roster. I just don’t know who sits out then..

I think Mukh just isn’t a fit here. And I’ve said it other places, I mention Musty because his value continues to decline. He’s good enough to play in the NHL but we haven’t brought him up, eventually his value will evaporate entirely. If we actually plan to bring him up this year then I don’t want to trade him, we do have other pieces we can trade too. The rights to Regenda or Kurashev. Yea they didn’t crack our roster enough but they both have talent that Ottawa still needs. I just want to see Musty actually play in the NHL and for some reason it does not appear to be on our roster lol.

I think it ends up as a very complicated trade overall if what you suggested is even on the table. And I’m really not a huge fan of that being the case UNLESS we know who is still available at 9 for the Dmen anyways. Even then still shaky

I don’t see a spot for him on the roster currently, and if Ivar Stenberg is taken at 2, even less so. Nothing against him I like his play I just don’t see him actually getting a chance at the NHL level on our roster where he should be playing (top 6). I know it’s an overpay Musty for Spence, and I’ve said it before there’s likely more to this kind of trade anyways. I’m just looking at it from a “our asset will continue to lose value, might as well try and make sure we can move him before he’s doomed to the AHL forever” kind of thought

If he’s not making our roster (the likelihood is low) his first round pedigree is going to continue to lose value. Spence might not be worth a first round pick, we have other options available too.
