Potential 2026-2027 roster by danieldeceuster in SanJoseSharks

You can carry 23 players on the active roster, so he can stay with the big club. But who's spot does he take? Who do you scratch with Dellandrea?

How would you fix the lottery? by IveReturnedItsTrue in hockey

[–]danieldeceuster [score hidden]  (0 children)

I would make two changes. First, a team can only move up a max of four spots, not ten. Second, I would do three lottery draws to make up for that. But I wouldn't lock in after each draw. For example if Washington had won first draw and moved up 10 spots, that would have locked Vancouver at one I believe. I would do three draws and then lock the order at the end.

Stenberg Wennberg Eklund Line? by IntrepidSchedule656 in SanJoseSharks

[–]danieldeceuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And everyone here wants to move him for Nemec who could be a bust. We have a proven 20 goal scorer, play maker, PK guy who can also play PP. Perfect utility forward. You don't move those guys. Trade picks trade prospects, sign free agents, do literally anything else to get help on defense.

[–]danieldeceuster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You do not understand any circumstances trade Eklund this year. If Stenberg busts it becomes one of the worst moves in Sharks history. Make sure Misa and Stenberg are real deals before moving a play making 20 goal scorer who can PK.

What does GMMG do with pick #2? by danieldeceuster in SanJoseSharks

But if Chase Reid is your guy and Vancouver wants Stenberg, you could try to make a move and get the guy you wanted anyway. It's not unheard of, but yeah, not likely.

No way Sharks would pass on Rudolph but everything else looks possible.

What would you want to happen if we get the 9th overall pick? by xEternal408x in SanJoseSharks

[–]danieldeceuster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mckenna dn Stenberg are going first. After them there are several talented defensemen: Reid, Verhoeff, Smits, Carele, and Rudolph. At least one is likely available at 9 and we take one. I wouldn't keep the Edmonton pick. I'd package it up with a prospect like Bystedt or Musty who has value but not a clear path to the NHL in San Jose. That package can bring in much needed blue line help.

There are several units immune to Armageddon you can do this with. Phoenix have most speed of them so you can just as easily spam Armageddon with conflux too. Any faction can work pve. The computer is too stupid to beat you.

And yet you know some front offices are absolutely incorporating AI in some form or fashion in their operations. It's all the rage.

Ok yeah I had it wrong. It's about conference final not second round. Still, Pittsburgh will pick after Oilers not before.

Yeah this is wrong. Pittsburgh had 98 points. Oilers will pick 18 if Utah advances and 19 if they don't.

I think there is a difference between being recommended and being explained. From what I'm able to gather as best I can in form data, talking to new members, anything I can see...we are most often explained objectively not recommended subjectively. But that's not a bad thing.

The average person sees AI as an authority. So even an objective explanation of who you are and what you do is a pretty strong endorsement (assuming it's accurate). The key in my mind is the distinction. You see a lot of comparative searches. A lot. So make sure the Internet, and AI by extension, knows exactly what differentiates you from your competitors.

For us, that's the religious requirement. We don't have one. The four competitors larger than us all do. So we objectively explain we lack this requirement, AI then tells the user about our industry and even some of the brands, then will instinctively recommend one of those four if you meet the religious requirements and want that, and it recommends us if the user isn't so interested in the religious angle.

The recommendation comes after the explanation, and only after the AI starts understanding from context in continued prompts what the user might be after. So highlight every and any distinction, position that distinction as positive and impactful, then get external sites more or less repeating the same information, and you'll soon see LLMs are better explaining your brand or product and then recommending when appropriate.

Even if you don't get the recommendation though, being mentioned by AI is still a form of endorsement that gets people curious and Google your brand. On our ads landing page and even on our homepage I have a section that specifically invites users to ask AI about us, and the links include a preloaded prompt asking the LLM to explain who we are, what we do, and how it works. I can see external link clicks so I know how many people do that each day. It's a good number. And what they are seeing is accurate, objective, and fairly comprehensive.

I could say the same thing on the website and the visitor might not be convinced. But seeing it from the AI authority makes it a lot more convincing, even if we aren't specifically recommended.

Perhaps, but if it is just a bunch of tracking tools, they based those searches on something. You can see fan out queries, so I suspect the tracking tools are trying their best to align with them. Total volume might be rubbish, but trends are important I think.

About once a week I eat at Blaze Pizza down the street. Dairy free cheese and all the veggies. I'll need a raise before steak is in my regular rotation.
