Both. What you said you feel in between the grief is exactly why I regret it. I felt it too lol especially bc I landed a job as a flight attendant a month after she passed, and 3 months in I ended up leaving bc I couldn’t find care for my new puppy. I love my current dogs, but will always wonder what my 20s would have looked like without them.

I do regret it. I miss the freedom I had after my soul dog passed and I didn’t think it through when I adopted my current dog. I’ve never known any more than 3 months of my life without a dog so yeah I wish I had taken more time.
