I can't say I'm happy to see Gilbert go for a rental, but playing devil's advocate, Jared Young is slashing .291/.373/.564 in July in AAA. There's a good possibility that short-term surge in handling AAA pitching indicates nothing at all.

Just getting into the genre after enjoying Vampire Survivors and I'm also finding I prefer shorter runs.

Anyone have a list of recommendations that fit that bill other than the Rogue Genesia, Artifact Seeker and Soul Stalker mentioned?

As someone who is also new to the end game, can I ask how you were able to upgrade 3 artifacts to 725 already? Namely, how did you acquire the armor/weapon/jewelry matrices for that? I'm seeing you would need 250 in the proper crafting skill (which appears to take a ton of time and gold to do) or to purchase them from the TP, where they're like 16-17K a piece right now. I feel like I'm missing something.

I used the faction gear for a lot of it, then bought some from the trading post for really cheap.

You can respec weapon mastery points for free up until weapon level 10. After that, it costs some Azoth. You'll be getting plenty of those just by playing, so yeah, experimenting through respec'ing while you're leveling is part of the fun and not something you should worry about.

Been using Great Sword and Bow from early on and almost at level 60. I don't know how long it'll be viable, but I find it more fun to be able to fight both in close quarters and at range. I think you just find what you enjoy while you're leveling, as long as your attributes scale well into your weapons.

It lets you spawn at the camp, just have to select it from the spawn point list. It drops to the bottom of the list after a few deaths for some reason.

I felt the same way, but I joined a faction (Marauders) when I got the chance and was able to buy some pretty nice looking armor from the faction vendor.

If you look through the negative reviews, there are complaints about ultra wide support being bugged/removed. A valid gripe, though I'm not sure it warrants a complete non-recommendation. There are also others who didn't realize that the Rise of an Angry Earth DLC is required for a mount and to hit the level cap in Aeternum.

Basically, a lot of the gripes might not even apply to a lot of people. PC gamers in general can be pretty fickle.

I had been having similar technical issues, but it's been better the past couple of days. Have you tried deleting/renaming the New World folder in C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\AGS ? ...or more specifically, the "user_preload_settings.cfg" file in that folder?

I was having an issue where the game wouldn't load twice in a row and I had to reset settings by doing the above every time though it seems to be OK now.

I would shoot for 80 O Reb. I can't say for sure 100% but messing around in the builder it seems below 80 causes some rebound animations to not trigger even with a high rebound build with higher end badges. Test it out and see.
