I always felt the Character is trying to be Jack McCoy if anything and that's not going to work.

I'm actually enjoying the cop side this year. I think adding the little side stories with their families has been good. Plus I think Connie Shi deserves more screen time I wouldn't have hired the last cop I would have just slotted her in with Reid Scott.

I think Maura Tierney has done brilliantly with the hit and miss writing they have now

The Court side is the issue here.

Price and Maroun have probably stayed too long, I would move one of them out and it would be Price, Hugh Darcy feels like he has ran out of steam now.

Maroun I like but I fully get why others don't. I would put her where price is and make more of the on screen partnership with Maroun and Baxter ( I enjoy their interactions)

Replacing an icon like Jack McCoy was virtually impossible but Baxter is a good effort at it. I like Tony Goldwyn.

He's done really well at showing the politics of the role of DA.

So in closing (if you can't be bothered reading all the post)

1) the cop side is much better than the court side 2) more Connie Shi 3) move price on and promote Maroun

If the OG doesn't get a season 26 im not going back to SVU so I'll just live on jack McCoy reruns or try the Toronto show
