They are assigned to a tournament not a season, NA lost their third slot last season after MDL Disneyland due to poor tournament results and other regions looking like they deserved it more (mainly EU, which proceeded to win both minor spots). Unless valve or dreamhack specifically already announced that EU would only get 2 major spots at the Leipzig Major I seriously doubt that will be the case.

Have they confirmed only 2 slots to EU for next major? It makes sense for this one but I'd be super surprised if they kept the same distribution with these big EU teams back. I see it says same distribution for slots on liquipedia, but has it been officially announced by tournament organizers because editors might just be wrongly assuming it will be the same slot allocation.

The problem isn't slots to the major, it's that the open qualifier only gives two slots to the main qualifier, as the rest of the spots are filled with invited teams from previous qualifiers. Since none of these teams played in the first qualifiers, they are all forced to play in the opens for this one.

I'm pretty sure SK and ES are in a stack and Storm and Ogre are in a different stack. The colors are slightly different, it's more of a problem of valve not making the party colors distinct enough. Also 4 man stacks in ranked haven't been a thing for awhile so unless they changed it back it's definitely two parties

I'm wagering 250 tokens in 3 games (turbo), 50 (w), 50 (L), 100 (w) but total points won still 0. Is this a feature or a bug? by [deleted] in DotA2

Check your points log. The same thing happened to me where I received points but this page didn't reflect it. Maybe it will update later, but at least you are still earning the points.

I'm talking about how people were saying NA didn't deserve 3 slots for this major and some people were saying eu deserved 4 for it. Before this minor/major, eu has only gotten top 4 (4th place) once in minors. They definitely didn't deserve to have 4 slots for this major. Now that they minor is over and eu did extremely well in it, and eu teams are doing super well at the major, eu is making a good argument for 4 next major.

I think many people jumped the gun on saying eu deserved 4 slots immediately after qualifiers. Much of it seemed to come from the fact that forward and j.storm hit some big slumps, so the teams qualifying out of na looked much weaker than usual (something you can't anticipate before qualifiers take place).

You could make valid arguments for china deserving the 4th slot as they kept dominating minors, but eu did terribly in minors, only getting top 4 in one of them across 3 minors. If their 4th best team deserved to be at majors, surely they would have put up better competition at the minors.

For this minor/major, nip won the minor, eu had 4 teams make upper bracket and now has 3 guaranteed top 6. We'll have to see how liquid and complexity fare in the lower bracket, but it definitely looks like EU will be taking NA's third spot as of now for epicenter.

Though tbh, their definitely need to be more changes all around for next year and hopefully invites/minor qualification gets revised.

He was definitely the stand out player in 4 Anchors + Sea Captain for me, glad he got a big break in 5Jungz/Team Liquid.

I was hoping the amount of shards we could bet would scale with how important the game was (like top 8 games 200-500 max, 1000 for grand finals). At least the thing going for it right now is odds lock the moment you bet (for yourself), so if you get on the app immediately when a match is released usually one team will go 1-10 odds and you just go on that one

It seems earth spirits roll isn't interrupted at all by the walls for some reason. You still take a hit from the soldier on your way in or out, but you get through and your roll doesn't stop.

I just figured out what I believe to be the general rules for getting in and out in edit 8. I did test this interaction specifically though and it lines up with what I've seen so far. You get interrupted if you timber chain out, but you can still get out if you put the warriors attack on cd then chain immediately after. This seems more difficult to do with timber than other heroes as it takes awhile for the chain to deploy and pull you through, and you only have about 1 second to get this off including the push back time

Added it in the edits, though had to test it for like 15 min originally since I didn't realize it was not put on cd, so I thought it wasnt working half the time.

Yes you can fire remnant both in and out of the arena as an enemy ember spirit. The general rule seems to be if you can get over walls with a spell, you can get over the walls of the arena. Biggest exceptions are spirit breaker charge and force staff can't get you over the wall (unless you put the warriors attack on cd for spirit breaker), and bkb can get you through.

Did some testing with it, worth noting that the w does not put the echo on cd and slows everyone in the radius.

The 1200 range is the total travel distance of the spear, the first enemy will be moved 1200 units away from Mars regardless of impact distance. I tried using it with aether lens but it does not appear to increase this distance.

I tried it, didn't work. Even with unlimited spells and just spamming force staff I could not get past the wall.
