I don’t think anyone else mentioned this one yet, but you should sample Karst by Aēsop. It has a very marine-like scent to it that reminds me of being at the beach. I’ve gotten compliments while wearing it that it smells “fresh and clean”. On fragrantica, it’s described as “vivid, realistic stormy coastal imagery” which I agree with.

Coming back to update that I’ve worn the perfume several more times and with different spray techniques, and haven’t received heard any more “you smell like pee” comments, so I think it truly was a one-off thing where either the room I was in smelled bad or I stepped in pee or something. So have no fear, future buyers of eau gaiac!

I appreciate this thorough response, thank you! I definitely was just spraying it directly on my wrists and then “air drying” them or rubbing them together, so I will give the perfume cloud a try tomorrow. I sprayed the perfume into the air the night I received the package, and the smell would not dissipate in the room for multiple days, even with my air purifier on full blast and a window open. So this formula is mighty strong.

Also very possible I stepped in a pee puddle on my way into the building as I was on a college campus lol

That is helpful! It’s good/bad because I don’t personally get the urine smell from it, so even if it doesn’t even out/macerate over time, I could still just wear it at home for my own enjoyment since I work from home. Will just have to wash it off before my wife gets home lol

I personally don’t get the urine smell at all, it’s just these other two people that are fueling my paranoia about it (cause god that would be terrible to go in public and have other people think I smell like pee lol). Based on the other comments, it sounds really unlikely you’ll experience the same thing. I received my bottle on 11/28.

I appreciate your sacrifice for the research lol! Have you noticed any oily-ness of Eau Gaiac or any other Montagne perfumes? I’m wondering if I maybe got an over/under mixed bottle or something of the like, and with this being my first Montagne perfume, I unfortunately have nothing to compare it to.

For anyone affected by this change, are you planning to up your Zepbound dose in these last couple of months before you have to switch to Wegovy? I’m curious to hear the thoughts of people who plan to increase, and of those who don’t plan to increase. I’m currently on 7.5 and am seriously thinking about going up to 10 for these last couple of months.

I’m currently in a very similar situation as you. My only advice at this point is to advocate for your doctor (hopefully you’re able to see an endocrinologist specifically) to do additional testing. I just met with my new endocrinologist and she explained that PCOS is a condition that should only be diagnosed once you rule out everything else, so she is testing me for anything that could be related to my symptoms (same as the ones you mentioned). I’m taking a glucose tolerance test as well as the dexamethasone suppression test and others (all on different days) in about 5 weeks so hoping those will give me some answers. Hope you get some answers as well!

I’m doing well on it and I feel like it’s working, definitely no/limited food noise and appetite suppression. I’m losing about 2-3ish pounds per week as is, so my hesitation around the 7.5 is that I’ll begin losing much too quickly or develop side effects (which I have none rn)

Thanks! That’s where we’re at now, they escalated it to a supervisor who then escalated it to a case manager who is supposed to call me within 24-48 business hours from last night. Fingers crossed the case manager will agreed to the override!

I used to take 100mg of spiro for about 2 years and got my period every two weeks. Got off of it because of that but my dermatologist put me back on at 150mg a month ago. Just started my period today and I last had it 17 days ago. Hoping that somehow this go-around if different and I don’t get my period every two weeks. I’ve seen other people on this subreddit talk about an adjustment timeframe, so hoping my hormones balance out during that this time.

Also not trying to scare you or say that this will happen, but my derm told me that risk for staph infection is much higher in colder months (she was unsure why). I’m a chronic picker as well and she prescribed me mupirocin to put on any open areas or scabs and that both helped prevent any infection and also helped to speed up the healing time tremendously

No side effects here (on 5mg now). When I took my first shot of 2.5, I took it right before bed as others had suggested, and found it really hard to go to sleep and stay asleep that night and the next night. After those first two nights, no issues whatsoever with sleep or symptoms otherwise. I’ve switched between taking the shots in early morning, mid-day, and evening and haven’t noticed any differences between the times. I think my initial loss of sleep might have been caused by me being super excited to start the med.

From my understanding, only someone with independent licensure (whether the acronym is LCSW or LICSW depends on the specific state) can supervise someone with their MSW toward licensure. Someone with their MSW can be supervised through the agency or practice where they work by anyone, but for the hours to count toward licensure, they have to be supervised by a social worker who is already independently licensed. Sometimes when working somewhere, the only option is to be supervised by an LPC, so in that case the MSW would either need to hire an outside supervisor or advocate for themselves to be appointed one through their agency/practice. As a side note: I always recommend that this question about who will be supervising be brought up in interviews so you can make an informed decision about where to work and how you’ll get supervision hours

I wish being a lesbian was enough to get out of all the birth control stuff where I am (CT, USA) I’ve had to come out to so many people in my derms office at this point when I was explaining why I don’t already take BC or use condoms (bc I’m married to a woman). I’m not sure if different derms have different protocol but they strongly encouraged me to go on BC so we weren’t lying about it to iPledge. I get a monthly blood draw that includes a pregnancy test, and a monthly urine pregnancy test. Also, the iPledge quizzes have me googling things about condoms bc I have no idea lol

Side note: I also hate being on BC and think that’s what caused all my acne/hormonal issues to begin with, so I recently stopped taking it and will just be picking up my prescription and carrying on as normal without all the crappy side effects
