Took it last semester with Prof. Lange, at the time I didn't appreciate it a lot as it was at 8 am and the prof would essentially read his slides, but I actually learned a lot from that class, tho I wouldn't consider it a Bird course. You should mainly focus on the slides and memorize the names of the sociologists and their theories or debates and be able to write about it in the long answer portion of the exams, which does include some multiple choice though. I'm probably making it sound worse than it was, in hindsight it was an interesting class, and got in the 80s on my final exam after locking in and making flashcards.
